@ethangach But when are you going to write about how Kirby is actually about Nintendo’s habit of gobbling up other companies, Ethan

@ethangach It's just interesting that this level of critique is limited to very specific company. If you're actually being serious about this, I would expect this level of analysis towards business practices of all companies in your reviews in the future.

@aalong64 I wonder if it’s is the movie clip thing because they stupidly started allowing subscribers to download any video that anyone posts on here

got locked out of my account for about 10 secs cause of a copyright violation? I just had to click through a bit to unlock, not sure if it was a legitimate claim or not. are they cracking down on little movie clips or something? ...I may have posted one once

@tentwentysixpm It’s not a great movie by any stretch but it’s fun. Kind of a hyperactive mix of Smokin’ Aces and Assault on Precinct 13

Wheres GenZ's NIN? Millennials created dubstep have a whole darkwave catalog. I rarely see cool stuff out of this next generation

Listen, I like ANDOR a whole bunch (probably my favorite show of the year), but can we not use it as a shorthand to explain everything that's going on at the moment, like folks did with HARRY POTTER?

@shallowbrigade I especially liked all the dudes who would argue Moore wasn’t really an “original” creator because they thought all he did in comics was stuff like Watchmen and League that riffed on or utilized existing works, as if Moore didn’t also have original creations

@shallowbrigade It was really weird how many people in comics, even ones who presented themselves as “pro-creators’ rights,” gleefully celebrated all of that seemingly just because Moore had sworn off the Big Two

Lindelof was not a fan of Alan Moore. He was a showrunner who very cynically played off Moore's decades-long reputation as a crank in the name of promoting a show that Moore explicitly never wanted to be associated with. And as I remember most people ATE IT UP
Crazy ass moments in DC history 🏳️‍🌈@DC_moments

"Watchmen" (2019) showrunner Damon Lindelof once sent Alan Moore a self-deprecating letter introducing himself as "one of the bastards currently destroying Watchmen”. Moore described the letter as a "neurotic rambling", and told Lindelof (and DC/WB) to never bother him again.

Knowing this timeline, they will probably just announce that they put Trump’s brain in JD Vance’s body and that’s what JD Vance’s statement about being ready to be president was actually about

@TheGayChingy The loving exasperation is what really does it for me, like such a huge amount of care mixed with utter annoyance and frustration at raising two distinctly different fail sons. It’s a very special and relatable kind of maternal

@kennykeil I love how weird that run is, and it has a lot of borderline body horror stuff going on with the supporting cast and villains in general, like Chunk the man with a black hole in his stomach that he constantly has to feed matter to

Every time you guys tweet about Olivia Munn, i gotta remind myself im in an incredibly small percent of people that only know her as the lady host from G4’s Attack of the Show, which was like a news show for gamers and geeks in 2006. people mention her but idk what she does

@shallowbrigade The movie is definitely more mature imo, the book is centered on Danny more and offers (slight) redemption for his dad instead of making him a full on psychopath

@shallowbrigade Of the classic ones I’d probably go with The Shining. That said, my first two King books were It and The Stand and I was around that same age lol

@shallowbrigade If you’re open to it not being classic era King, I’d recommend The Institute. It’s kind of a spiritual successor to Firestarter without that book’s more dated elements but it still has a lot of classic King elements and the writing is punchy with a solid narrative
