I think its a common phenomenon as I have also done work on an anthrax like Bacillus cereus strain in which there is heterogeneity toxin production/release

@oleg_sitsel @Intein @mpimoph @ScienceWriters @absw It’s interesting that one version in a marine bacteria get released by lysis (they are much bigger than TCs) but in Photorhabdus they seem to be able to get out without lysis. God knows how.

@oleg_sitsel @Intein @mpimoph @ScienceWriters @absw Have you seen our database? Since we found them in Photorhabdus we now know they are everywhere. It is very interesting that the TCs het released by lysis. I don’t do too much with TCs these days. I have switched to PVC nanosyringes
