Grade 9s back from Spring Break playing Economics based Monopoly. Students experienced first-hand the pros and cons of wealth redistribution, stimulus packages, tax breaks for the rich, and much more. @NickleParents

Grade 9s at the zoo this week learning about Biodiversity. The baby gorilla was a favourite, as was Cornelius the corn snake! @calgaryzoo @NickleParents

Grade 7 Environmental Stewardship students have been hard at work collecting donations for Jacket Racket (31 coats and 12 pairs of snowpants were dropped off today). As well, students are selling raffle tickets to raise money for endangered species. #WeAreCBE @NickleParents

Grade 8s learning about the Elbow River watershed. We explored from Elbow Falls to Redwood Meadows, measuring pH, turbidity, nitrates, phosphates, temperature, oxygen levels, and presence of macro-invertebrates. Thanks @elbow_watershed for a great day! #WeAreCBE @NickleParents

Nickle students learning on the land. Our first 'whole school' walk to Fish Creek park was a success! Students walked over 6 km, explored a park in their backyard, enjoyed some light rain, and were back to school in time for lunch. #WeAreCBE #Outdoorclassroom @NickleParents

Gr. 9s had a float down the Bow, toured Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant, and used scientific testing (temperature, pH, oxygen, turbidity, etc) to try to determine the health of the river. Thanks Riverwatch Alberta for a great day! #handsonscience @NickleParents #WeAreCBE
