37 years ago May 11, 1989: Stevie Nicks released “The Other Side of the Mirror,” her 4th solo album. The record became her 4th US Top 10 & her 9th Top 10 overall including Fleetwood Mac reaching No. 10 in the US, No. 8 in Australia, and No. 3 in the UK.

Fleetwood Mac was at the top of its game in August 1977 when the band returned to its adopted home of Southern California to play three shows at The Forum in Los Angeles. RUMOURS LIVE captures the energy and excitement of the band’s opening night there; the nearly 90-minute performance includes most of the songs from the then-current RUMOURS and its self-titled predecessor. As engineer Ken Caillat rolled tape in the Record Plant’s mobile recording truck, the band delivered impassioned performances of such classics as “Landslide,” “Never Going Back Again,” “Songbird,” and “The Chain” - and almost all the tracks on RUMOURS LIVE are previously unreleased. rhino.com/aod/rumours-li…

The most transformative song was Big Love from Tango in the Night. It paved the way for other songs as I got interested in exploring my orchestral style.
