It’s my last month at @Ancient8_gg and for the first time in my career, I feel compelled to write a farewell note. I’ve worked with large corporates like @TencentGlobal and breakout startups like CARV, but this is the first time I feel genuinely emotional walking away from a team.🥺🥺🥺 I joined Ancient8 back in 2023 as Business Development Manager, and from day one, I was on my gear #5. I’ve worn more hats than I can count- working across BD, product, ecosystem growth, marketing. It’s been intense and deeply fulfilling. And if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.🫡🫡🫡 The decision to step away wasn’t easy. Not because of title or compensation- those things don’t weigh as heavy. It’s hard because I have to say goodbye to the best people I’ve worked with in my professional journey. A Ceo like @zanengx , who treats every team member like family. Leaders like @Justin_The_Mind , a true rock I could lean on in work and life. And teammates like @NickyyyB_ , who made even the hardest weeks lighter. You guys aren’t just colleagues. You are people I admire and respect deeply. I’m proud of the journey we’ve had, growing Ancient8 into one of the leading Web3 gaming ecosystems, building across market cycles, pushing boundaries, and helping shape the narrative in Southeast Asia and beyond. The upcoming Gm Vietnam @gmvn_official will be my last dance with the team, and I couldn’t ask for a better send-off. @Justin_The_Mind will be taking over my role, and with @davedaveng , @zanengx , and Justin being in the core team, I’m confident Ancient8 is in solid hands.💚 As for me - I’ll be taking some time to breathe, travel with the love of my life and my better half, and spend more time with my dog this month. 🐶👧🏠 No rush to jump into something new. I want to find a team that’s hungry, innovative, and grounded in purpose. I have already been speaking to some solid teams and hopefully the good news comes sooner than I expected. - I’m not in crypto for quick wins. I’m here for the long haul. - I get things done. I ask tough questions. I like pushing boundaries. - And I’ll always prefer building outside the comfort zone. If you’re working on something exciting and values-aligned, I’m all ears. If you’re introducing yourself or your project on Spaces or a stream: A few tips from someone who’s sat down with more founders than had birthdays: Use the Past / Present / Future framework: PAST: Who are you? What in your past qualifies you to build this? PRESENT: What are you building? Who’s on the team? What problem are you solving? How are you solving it? FUTURE: What does this look like post-launch? Where will it be in a year? What’s the long-term vision? That’s 9 questions. That’s your core. You don’t need more than that, but you do need to nail those. Each one should feel like a sound bite. Each answer should tell us why you and why now. Don’t just fill time. Make it count.
