A simple plea to my fellow South-Africans. More freedom asks for more responsibility, more civil obedience, more awareness that the pandemic is with us and deadly, more understanding that freedom is not only freedom from, but especially freedom for preserving life and livelihood.

Let us stop suggesting that reasonability and rationality is only possible where emotion is sidelined. (Let us get liberated from this narrow understanding of rationality!)

1 June - International Day for the Protection of Children: What is happening to our children this very day, and what will happen to them tomorrow, is the acid test for a society of dignity, healing, justice, freedom, and equality through equity (as phrased in the SA Constitution)
