ai assisted coding is awesome the current issue is that it loses track of context and thus forgets about documentation and parts of your code then it destroys things or generates bad code

the worst way to use a coding agent: just stuff everything into context until you hit the token limits and wonder why the agent gets confused

please stop calling it RAG...

"vibe coding" is awesome but only if you know your codebase otherwise it struggles with more complex tasks

@RishivikramN Exactly specificity is very important as it’s already in „normal“ prompting in ChatGPT

@NicolasHoferer Even then it can mess up so badly, it’s way better if you give it chunk by chunk. You should be very specific in the prompt about what you actually want.

everyone writing about RAG and how easy it is but there is a difference between simply feeding 1 pdf into the system and test it vs. building a robust system
