@SverreHalseth @666_lush @DipshikhaGhosh its not 3, and the whole point is that theres no reason to increase chances of compromised dna by wheelchairing broken sperm when theres always better sperm. relates very well to natural selection.
English

@Niffeism @666_lush @DipshikhaGhosh You're forgetting that it wasn't a "causality" issue. It was about the probability of a slow sperm containing "weak DNA". Do you get me? To translate that, the original tweet suggested that weak motility=weak DNA. 3 genes can't affect the quality of 20000 genes on a male DNA.

No cure for endometriosis. No proper management for menopause. No adequate symptomatic relief for menstrual discomfort. But let’s get handicapped sperm a wheelchair to make not so healthy babies because it would make men feel strong.

A nanobot helping a sperm with motility issues along towards an egg. These metal helixes are so small they can completely wrap around the tail of a single sperm and assist it along its journey
English

@SverreHalseth @DipshikhaGhosh its not 3 genes, its 42. and studies have found 114 genes with significantly in men with poor motility compared to normal. Oxidative stress isnt random. their mitochondrial dna is more exposed to oxygen due to its massive energy for movement… oxygen goes where energy is higher.
English

@Niffeism @DipshikhaGhosh DNA damage by oxidative stress is random. Human genome has 3.2b base pairs. The probability of oxidative stress to SPECIFICALLY damage a motility gene or protein is 3/3,200,000,000, since its exactly 3 proteins for sperm motility on the DNA of a male. So no, it's not "often"

@SverreHalseth @666_lush @DipshikhaGhosh factors that hinder motility often cause DNA defects. also “99%” isnt true. studies show they correlate alot more than 1%.
A large study of 2,567 semen samples found that poor motility was significantly and directly correlated with higher DNA fragmentation.
English

@666_lush @DipshikhaGhosh And that takes us to probability. 99% of times, it's external factors hindering motility, not a DNA error on motility. So, that dilutes the original claim even further...poor sperm motility doesn't the DNA content being carried by said sperm is flawed or weak or damaged.
English

@SverreHalseth @DipshikhaGhosh mmmm sometimes… but ur forgetting that the same factors that impair motility (like oxidative stress) directly causes DNA strand breaks in sperm, messing up the genetic material itself. So poor sperm quality and poor genetic materials can go hand in hand pretty often.
English

@DipshikhaGhosh "not so healthy babies"😂
Sperm motility depends on the structure & function of the sperm’s tail (flagellum) & energy produced by mitochondria in sperm cell. Sperm may even fail to move but it doesnt determine quality of genetic material. U'd actually expect "doctor* to know this

@IdleSloth84_ Will you donate some earnings to irl shelters? Many are struggling and it’d be so sweet if this game helped real shelters too!

@mcdoodles2000 @BaalthazarSalv1 @wynrosei so did the fetus, considering u think its “alive”. Glad u agree that its okay to “kill” it since it alr had a chance at life.
