Spotted a great example of ‘Game of Inches®️’ thinking on my Qantas flight this morning. On the side of the meal box was written ‘Small changes, big difference.’ I'm heading to Darwin as a frontline innovation speaker #innovationspeaker #leadershipspeaker

Research lists 65 leadership theories and 120 styles. Which one is ‘right’? Wrong question. In uncertainty, silver bullets don’t build capability. Adaptive teams do. Before you follow another expert, ask, is my leadership enabling my team to be more adaptive? #leadership

This is gratifying. Honoured to recieve excellence in a higher research degree program and alignment with PRME Values - Purpose, Values, Method, Research, Partnership, Dialogue, and Practice. Glad my research on Grassroots Innovation for Sustainability is making inroads.

Humbled to spend 3 days in Canberra with Regional Australia Institute and Latrobe University at Parliament House, so much wisdom, energy and drive for our regions. Grateful to be part of it with REI Regional Leadership. #RegionalAustralia #Leadership

Never underestimate the power of small, consistent steps. Having researched hundreds of successful leaders and organisations over the past decade, what stands out? They have a mindset of growth, continuous learning and improvement. #growthmindset #innovation #leadership

'Disruption = Competitive Advantage?' That’s what the experts keep telling us. BUT... here's what the research says: “Firms that adopt grassroots innovation outperform firms that do not.” — Stremersch et al., 2022 Bottom-up, employee-driven innovation is a strategic edge.

OMG, How do you do that? You can have the best products BUT what we all crave is the human touch. Want exceptional service then empower human connection? (especially in an AI data driven world). linkedin.com/posts/nigelcol…

@tunguz @VnSafeguard If you’re doing your phd to have the accolade of being read I think you missed the point! Go write a book. It about learning to think deeply to challenge constructively (something we will need more of in an AI world) and to try make a difference.

@VnSafeguard Nah. This is the self deluding BS that they feed you with. No one ever reads your PhD thesis. Not even the members of your defense committee.

Here is my advice, and I can’t be any more forceful about it: if you are considering joining a PhD program - DON’T!!!

I just learned that silent reading isn't silent for everyone. Some people hear the words in their heads as they read. 🤯
