@bangorfc Nice to see a pic of one of the quieter less aggressive members of our midfield.🫣😂 Another BFC kid that Lee and staff have uncovered and is a firm fan favourite already!!

@ModestoSilo I’m pretty new to the Irish league(6 years) but is that not the norm for a Baxter team?

Glentoran players kept their discipline, despite constant provocation from agitators like Heatley. I felt like thumping him myself, so fair play to O’Rourke resisting from burying him. We need to do the same v Larne who have a team full of them. None more than that Cheat Ryan.

Widely accepted as not a red card but the IFA still didn’t overturn the decision🤣🤣🤣 Appeals are nothing more than a money making scheme for the IFA Bare in mind this referee didn’t get another game for months after his performance that day
UnofficialGlenavon@UGlenavon10158

Crazy how Glenavon appealed this twice and still was given a ban for Lomboto. One of the reasons to our poor start to the season was the refereeing. Don’t think the referees understand how a bad decision can affect a club. Brilliant from @OfficialNIFL introducing this show.

Gerard Lawlor on referees pulling out of matches: “some of the supporters might praise me if it has got them out of their games.” Unprofessional, reckless, and drags the game into disrepute. The chief executive should be protecting the league, not publicly mocking officials.

@OfficialNIFL @CarrickRangers @bangorfc Selective highlights yet again. Lewis first yellow? Wasn’t one. McCullough fighting and only getting a yellow when he should have been off. This is why refs don’t want VAR as it will show just how bad they are and won’t be covered up as it is now by selective highlights

@ncoleman28 VAR is no guarantee of progress, and what if it turns a decent number of regular match going fans away from the Irish League?

Some serious knickers in a twist about VAR in Irish League. There's been dozens of international and European club games with VAR that have came and gone in NI without a fuss. Progress is good. Standing still and waiting around for the good old days to return isn't viable.

@ncoleman28 Larne have probably been involved most of the VAR club games in NI, and it's true they passed off well and we actually got some decisions from it. Having said that, I don't think it's enhanced the game in England & Scotland. The Irish League is a punters through the gate league..

@Redhand___ Great support from you guys yesterday. Been reading for ages how the press don’t know how you haven’t been getting more points so kudos. I now think you will get at least the play off spot, can’t see crusaders turning you over tbh

So it wasn’t a dream? We actually won an away game😱🤣 Great performance on the pitch by the players and great atmosphere off the pitch from the supporters Considering we’d lost every away match this season before yesterday, our away support has been phenomenal👏🏻💙 #BJAFN

@DF_HWTL @nick_gawa It’s due to then playing the glens on the Sunday in the cup final. Can’t see what else they can do……this time. Bangor also moved to a Tuesday against the glens.

Larne’s Man of the Match….Referee Shane Andrews. If NIFL don’t investigate his performance, then they are complicit to cheating.

@dav15954 @ModestoSilo Listen to Lee tavinder podcast. Mike R was used to dealing with full time refs, not ones that meet for two hours a month to back each other up in their little closed club. Referee assessors have a lot to answer for as well, what do they even do?

Niall Currie's comments in the post game interview that the game was a 0-0, not only looks churlish but inaccurate if we are to take seriously (which we should) McCarey's crucial role in keeping the score 0-0 at half time. Credit where credit is due...

@football_ni He was half cut, giving Reece abuse pre corner which Reece placed perfectly on the head of Fallon for the goal. A certain Mr Devlin was informing said fan that indeed, Bangor had scored much to the fan’s dissatisfaction 😂😂

🤝🏻 Liam Burns has joined Dundela on loan for the remainder of the season. The 19 year old midfielder, who will join up with fellow Seasider Ben Walker at Wilgar Park, will continue his development in the Championship before returning to Clandeboye Park for next season. We wish Liam the very best for his spell with the Duns. 🟡🔵
