The idea of the Vril-Gesellschaft thinking long hair would act as cosmic antennas was actually a historical belief held by Siegfried Kummer; "The student should notice that his hair is an antenna that receives the finest radio waves of the All and then guides them through his body. That is why he wears his hair long as a more conscious German." He also cites Friedrich Marby as holding this belief. Kummer was an NSDAP party member after the assumption of power. I'd say given the traditional perspective of women having a deeper connection to mediumistic occultism, it makes sense that a supposed all female group would embrace this idea.
