Thank you, in return: I’d recommend as a light book, Love and Capital by Mary Gabriels. It’s a biography of the Marx family with greater emphasis on the Marx household and women. It follows from the early to late 1800s.

@WilliamJosephh You're not wrong to say that Marx is part of the Western canon but if we're looking at it from the perspective of 3rd-worlders who're inspired & adapted his theories to their conditions, the conclusion leads to occidentalism, though this is dependent on being in favor for 3Wism

@NihilNothings Yes! Marxism-Leninism is rooted in the Marxian concepts of dialectical materialism/historical materialism. I’d argue that since Marx was a product of the western tradition, these ideas too are inherently “occidental”.
They are yet, also universal, for the same reasons.
