I like Eddie but this is absolutely unfair. I am from a working class background, so I can relate to much of what he is saying here. Where I disagree is how he framed what @LozzaFox said. To say that there should be representation in an industry that is reflective of a populations demographics has nothing to do with not wanting a level playing field. If anything, it is ALL about fairness. You cannot complain about the percentage of working class actors being in the industry and then turn round and say with a straight face that “half the crew are minorities.” Why not keep the industry merit based? Perhaps Eddie would like to comment on how conservative actors are actively discriminated against, especially in Hollywood?
