@WanchopePaulo @DickLaurent96 @DanNash86 I go on a lot with the national team about how I feel that it’s not managers holding us back but the actual DNA of English football and nowhere can this be seen more in our love for players like Molumby. Better an idiot that runs 2000m than a clever player that runs 100m
English

@WanchopePaulo @DickLaurent96 @DanNash86 I said it last year that if I could I would have put Price in the centre of midfield (not in attack or out wide) and said I want you to be the one who controls us. Switch play, through balls, put your foot on it and slow it down when we are under pressure like Greening0708 era
English

@suttonbaggie @wbaa_j Only thing I possibly would have considered is finding a way of getting Styles back to left back because Taylor in the second half was struggling (bar one very good tackle) against their right midfield when they matched us up
English

State of this comment!
Squad is so thin.
He knows who he can trust.
People like this should listen to the manager & players in interviews. A game we couldn’t lose. We didn’t. £7k or 500 fans it doesn’t matter. League table most important. We absolutely looked after ourselves
𓅪@wbaa_j
james morrison showed today why he can’t be kept on next season. played for the draw, even with 7k travelling fans. was there for the taking today and didn’t go for it. 1 change made. going off other results and not looking after ourselves
English

@nathrover1985 @wbaa_j 1) he’s not shit anyone saying so is daft he’s technically our best player but he had an absolute stinker today
2) 99% of fans weren’t arsed that MON played him in that friendly but I would have been pissed off (not with MON though) if he’d got injured in it
English

@_the_a_bis There’s a great unplugged with Alicia Keys as well that sometimes gets shown. Absolutely amazing
English

@chrislepkowski @grassrootsrefJa Would the principality not be a better alternative to cover both bases for the semis and then Wembley for the final (it’d never happen obviously)
English

@grassrootsrefJa I'm not sure that would be the case once you remove wembley debenture tickets. And even if so then the difference wouldn't be huge. Wembley should be a reward for those reaching the final
English

If only we had a semi-final venue in the West Midlands that was ideal for such games....
Ben Jacobs@JacobsBen
The FA Cup semi-final draw is set.🔒 Chelsea vs. Leeds Manchester City vs. Southampton
English

@AndyfromNewHamp His goal versus United a few weeks after this goal is one of the most beautiful volleys you will seee
English

Mozza was technically a brilliant player, and had this atypical reaction to scoring a wonder goal.
The cheeky grin.
Usually to the first Baggie to join in the goal celebration.
When you think of Albion’s who could volley, Bomber is undoubtedly No.1, but Mozza was one of the best.
West Bromwich Albion@WBA
Mozza's stunner, Odemwingie's winner. 😮💨 Rewind to this classic Albion win at Blackburn Rovers. ⏪

@LastBlairite @StefHa_11 @AndyfromNewHamp Are we downgrading all “forward type players” from being generational talents because they get played in multiple positions?
English

@StefHa_11 @Nik_Ader @AndyfromNewHamp For us Tom is generational and I predict as football trends change his true valid will be evident. Rogers is a great talent and ‘forward’ type to player, Tom plays an actual position
English

Some sympathy with the BBC on this. Because they would have been absolutely slaughtered had they picked an all premier league encounter between two clubs who probably won’t be prioritising the FA cup over a league 1 team making the quarters.
David Minter@dtminter1969
@HLTCO Whoever saw that draw at BBC and thought "Chelsea at home to Port Vale is the game for us", needs firing
English

@StefHa_11 @AndyfromNewHamp @LastBlairite I can only explain how I use that phrase and I think you can add specifications to it like being the generational talent of Albions academy or being generational defensive talent etc. Maybe TLB was saying that Tom is a world generational talent like Yamal I can’t speak for him.
English

@Nik_Ader @AndyfromNewHamp @LastBlairite Fair enough, probably a misinterpretation on my part, I class 'generational talent' as a Lamine Yamal, not somebody who hasn't scored a goal in the Championship for almost a year. If it's referring strictly to WBA then I agree, we haven't produced many better in the last decade
English

@AndyfromNewHamp @StefHa_11 @LastBlairite Morgan Rogers would be my choice for our academy’s generational talent ( a phrase that I always take as best player of that generation)
English

@StefHa_11 @LastBlairite Whose the better player out of our academy this last decade, Stefan?
That was my prediction on the first half of his debut, seen nothing to change my mind..
Maybe you have another suggestion, I'll be interested?
Didn't see generational talent in my words??
English

@AlanLov67004042 @AndyfromNewHamp @BaggiesTom1 I think him playing with Dewsbury-Hall would have been even better would have given TF someone to aim for. Like he was doing with Maja last season and Price at the start of this… also interesting that TF again struggled with Armstrong (before he left for wolves)
English

@AndyfromNewHamp @Nik_Ader @BaggiesTom1 Everton would have been a great move, especially when Grealish wes on the other side.
English

@gillpind @chrislepkowski The fact that it brought up Defoe I found interesting. A top level premier league player that has had to start his career in fifth tier while many lesser players of his generation have got offers far higher up the pyramid. Terrys actions have held him back. What has held Defoe?
English

@gillpind @chrislepkowski While there can be conversations about Terrys politics and morals the whole article regarding it affecting his career can be realistically reduced down to a couple of paragraphs.
The ones in which it stated that he’s turned down jobs in lower leagues because they are below him…
English

Don't think I've come across a more polarising football individual
Know people, both inside & outside of football, who speak highly of him, but also know of many - indeed, many more, it has to be said - who do not
This is a fascinating insight
