Heartbroken. My Dad passed away. A true countryside and farming man. An absolute grafter that cherished and respected his land and all the life that inhabited it. We spent most days together. I will miss him dearly

I wish treatments like this were available in the UK, travelling to 🇩🇪 is difficult & expensive but we're up against a formidable enemy & doing all we can to keep Laura well. I really hope things improve soon but we just can't wait. @ourbrainbank @BrainTumourOrg @braintumourrsch

Sorry we've been a bit quiet here, things moved really quickly at the end of last week when we found out Laura could have a new treatment in Germany. We flew to Munich on Monday where Laura had a detailed FET-PET MRI scan then took the train to Dusseldorf where we are now. 1/

Laura’s faced with the worst situation imaginable but never felt sorry for herself or moaned about the unfairness, she’s just got on with living, really living her life.
Today is a gift, my daughter taught me that.

🧵It’s no exaggeration to say this is a day we didn’t think we’d see.
Even 2 weeks ago when Laura was admitted to The Christie, things were pretty touch and go but today this incredible girl turns 23.
we are so proud of her tenacity & resilience but also her compassion & kindness
