Let’s get your opinion on this: would you push back like she did? Here’s the situation. Her boss sent her home for taking her 30-min unpaid lunch that was literally in her contract/hiring notes. While no federal law requires lunch breaks, some states require employers to provide one (30 min unpaid, fully off-duty) for 6+ hr shifts. You can’t just force ‘eat at your desk while working’—that doesn’t count. Now, if her contract is indeed legally binding, the boss can’t magically delete it. What are your thoughts on this?

@RaltsAuthor @washghost1 Sometimes I’m glad for the child labor(or chores, whatever) my grandma put me through. I’ve been sorting and washing laundry since I was 7. Dishes, vacuuming, and dusting even earlier. lol but at least I know how to clean my home well.

@ShilohxxJulia @alphafox Dude, it bothers me so much! I was such a tomboy, and a very late bloomer. I didn’t get girly until my early 20’s. But they’d have called me trans or assumed I was on T because I was athletic and masculine as a teen.

I was such a tomboy at around 9 years old that I often was mistaken for a long haired boy (my name being unisex helped). I remember being happy that people mistook me for a “real boy”. My parents refused to let me cut my hair though. I wanted a buzz cut lmao they were like “hell no”. All of the adults in my life just said “you’re a tomboy, you’ll grow out of it once you go through puberty.” And they were 100% correct. The first day of freshman year in high school, I saw what the senior boys looked like and suddenly I wanted my older sister to teach me how to do my hair and makeup, and borrow her girly clothes. This was all in the 90’s. Imagine if I’d been a kid nowadays. They’d have trans-ed me at 9. Even back then, I remember the junior high girl’s gym coach (a lesbian of course) trying to convince me I was gay. I always knew I wasn’t. I just wasn’t girly until puberty.

@ezzyskii It’s beautiful. I want one. The website is lovely. They make it out of concrete and make the consistency so that you can use it like clay, and they create them by hand. It’s a cool piece if you like interior design & weed.

@The8bitidiot I worked at GS when the 360 came out. We had backstocking issues because of the RRoD. People couldn’t exchange their defective consoles until we got restocked. We had lists of customer names to call when we got more in so they could exchange. It was a real issue! lol
