@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Good thing they have a symbol and a color to help guide them. And even better that color blind people have a better experience.
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson So it’s probably good that we have multiple ways to comprehend a train line. Right?
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson More than people know the Latin alphabet, yes.
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Sometimes, depending on level of ability. Do you think all people are equally sighted?
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson Is it your view that their sight changes too?
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Different words. If you showed up in another country and they used the word for a color, would you know what they meant? Are you arguing just to argue at this point?
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson Is it your view that Albanians use different colors than us
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson lol, no.
I recently rode the train with a non-English speaking Albanian woman who was very anxious. Using the word purple would not have helped her. She had to get off of the B to take the D. Red to purple. Call the lines whatever you want.
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson Is it your view that eyeballs perceiving the color purple becomes different depending on which language you speak
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Gosh, no. But there are many Chinese languages. Purple is different in each.
And again, I’ll remind you that the color remains visually present. This is really not something to grouse about.
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson Is it your view that Chinese people don’t know what the color purple is
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Oh, it’s your preference. That’s ok. You can call it the purple line. If your argument is that non-English speakers know the word “purple”, but would be confused by the letter… I respectfully don’t understand.
We have a letter and a color.
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson Then you must be happy that the colors are still there, right? I’m trying to understand your beef with this.
English

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson What’s your proposed solution?
English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson I’ll wait until you realize that I understand English but most of the world does not
I’ll wait until you realize there are more non-Latin alphabet users than color blind people

@JackLanter8402 @Dill__Pickleson I don’t know you and hope you’re having a nice day. Maybe take the D (purple) down to the Farmer’s Market and check out the hot sauce store. Or hit up a museum. It’s purple and clearly marked with a D.

English

@NikolHasler @Dill__Pickleson Sucks for non-Latin alphabet speakers
