FRIENDSHIP OF LORD KRISHNA AND SUDAMA The story of Lord Krishna and Sudama is a timeless example of true friendship, humility, and selfless love. Both studied together at the ashram of Sage Sandipani during their childhood. As time passed, Lord Krishna became the King of Dwarka, while Sudama lived a life of poverty as a humble Brahmin. One day, Sudama's wife encouraged him to visit his dear friend, Lord Krishna. Though hesitant, Sudama carried a small gift of flattened rice (poha) and traveled to Dwarka. The moment Lord Krishna saw his childhood friend, He warmly embraced him, washed his feet, and welcomed him with immense love and respect. When Lord Krishna received the simple gift brought by Sudama, He accepted it with great affection and understood His friend's hardships without Sudama having to say a single word. Upon returning home, Sudama discovered that his humble hut had been transformed into a beautiful home, and his family was blessed with prosperity and happiness. Lord Krishna had fulfilled all of His friend's needs without ever being asked. This sacred story reminds us that true friendship transcends wealth and status. Love, faith, humility, and selflessness are the greatest treasures in life, and Lord Krishna teaches us that a pure heart is always cherished by the Divine.

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BELL ON SRI HANUMAN’s TAIL ? Hanuman Murtis with bell tied on tail are widely found in Karnataka, AP and Telengana. Sri Ram gave darshan to Hanuman in his Vishnu form and asked him to stay on Earth forever. He advised Hanuman to transfer all his spiritual powers to a bell and tie it on his tail. Bhaktas who seek fulfilment of a desire, ring the bell and ask for his grace. It is believed that the sound of bell on his tail is similar to chanting Sri Ram’s name. Hanuman blesses Bhaktas on hearing this sound. This posture was adopted by Sri Vyastirtha in Hanuman Murtis.
