@NineCato I told one of those kids the first place I rented when I move out on my own was a cabin that didn't have running water. They said I was "obviously lying" because they can't imagine living like that. It was a blast as a 19 yr old kid.

Holy shit, people. The kids are out of control today. I posted the story of the purchase of my first home. They went ape saying you couldn't buy a home for that now. I posted two homes in the same town as my first home, one was less then the inflation adjusted amount, the other a little more. People were literally saying they weren't modern enough...

This guy had his bike stolen and traced it down to a house. The bike’s been there for over 12 hours, but listen to how the police acted and the attitude! They say they can’t do anything because the back gate is open and there’s no other evidence. He then argues with the man, who clearly just wants justice for his stolen bike. The British police are an absolute joke.

@TrpstrLeonOG The government strikes again! Loans available to people for school caused the prices to go up, while guidance counselors pushed college for kids that didn’t need to go, and shut down vocational schools. A concerted effort to enslave an entire generation.

@Timmyhoover I actually have the least issue with SNAP as far as my tax dollars go although there is at least 20% fraud.
However, I think taxation is theft, and the government shouldn’t be doing any of this redistribution.

Just so you know, Boomers didn't pay enough taxes to support the government services they received and that's why most governments ran deficits for the entirety of Boomers' working lives & later generations are saddled with massive gov't debt. They always neglect this part...

If you’re acting like the later generations are not eating out more, they are, and more of them are obese, diabetic, etc.

@TalksPolitics24 @JohnNatebret Since the Obamacare rules, all employers that can have been cutting hours keeping people at below the 35 hour threshold so they are having two jobs. But anyone working for that amount qualifies for ACA for very little or Medicaid.

Ask yourself why you’re more mad at those that need help than companies like Walmart that intentionally keep hours and pay low (the largest employer of SNAP beneficiaries).

They were going to feed the world with vertical farms. Lettuce grown indoors, under LEDs, using 90% less water and no pesticides. The pitch was beautiful. The decks were elegant. The press releases were full of words like "revolution" and "future."
They filed for Chapter 11 in March 2025. The valuation had collapsed by 99% from its $1.9 billion peak.
Bowery Farming raised $700 million at a $2.3 billion peak valuation. Backed by Fidelity, Google Ventures, Justin Timberlake. Shut down in November 2024.
Fourteen indoor farming companies filed for bankruptcy in 2025. Combined funding burned: $1.37 billion. Of capital. Vaporised.
The reason every single one of them failed is the same reason a farmer in Herefordshire with 180 cattle, no LEDs, no robotics, and no Series C, is still in business in 2026.
Grass is free. Rain is free. Sunlight is free.
The cow does not require a $200 million data centre to function. She is the data centre. She runs on weather, processes cellulose, outputs protein, and her firmware has been stable for ten thousand years.
The pitch decks promised to reinvent agriculture.
Agriculture was already invented. It was just in a field, looking the other way.

It’s a weird thing I never understood. Only 1 in 4 Americans have the IQ to complete a useful degree so demanding the other 75% to go into debt for a degree that doesn’t guarantee anything.
And pulling the vocational education was a terrible idea.

Tell younger generations their entire lives that they need to go to college to get a good job, go into tech to make money, learn to code. Remove trade classes from high school curriculum to help facilitate this. Rug pull them by hiring only foreigners for those jobs or offshoring them completely “Hey man nobody forced you to go to college you should have gone into the trades”

You buy a house with your own money,
and still keep paying taxes on it until you die.
When you buy it, they tax you.
While you live in it, they tax you.
When you sell it, they tax you.
And after you die,
your kids can get hit with inheritance tax too.
Like… bro.
You spent your whole life paying for that house.
And somehow, the government still acts like it’s on a subscription plan.
Is it really “your home” at that point?
