Splatoon Raiders is the next big game release in Japan. At the time, Splatoon 3 broke the record for the biggest physical launch ever in the region. Splatoon Raiders is a spinoff, but Splatoon remains extremely popular.

@ZikadaPrime Increasing prices as a whole is something to not accept regardless of the three platforms 🚫 However, at least from Nintendo's standpoint, they're actively releasing new titles on a monthly basis, and even then, they're continuing that strategy to make the system worthwhile 🎮

When Sony raised PS5 prices the messaging was "global economic landscape, deal with it." When Microsoft raised Xbox prices the messaging was basically nothing. When Nintendo raised Switch 2 prices Furukawa apologized to customers and committed to delivering software that makes it worth the cost. One of these companies is not like the others 💯

@Stealth40k The good thing about these transition periods, is that the successors have learned more than enough from their superiors ❤️ Despite that though. It'll be interesting to see how the company as a whole moves on as these periods become more frequently throughout the Switch 2 gen 🎮

2D Mario games are in good hands with Shiro Mouri. He directed Super Mario Bros. Wonder but also worked on Super Mario Maker 2 and New Super Mario Bros U. The retirement of Takashi Tezuka will most strongly be felt with 2D Mario Platformers, but others can step up!

@Stealth40k What 8DX does best instead of World, is it's the ultimate version of the classic/traditional Mariokart 🏁 Honestly, it'd be hard to go back into that formula since I don't think they'd be able to outdo themselves

Nintendo announced Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold over 71.08 million units worldwide. It sold 490k units last quarter. It doesn't matter if Mario Kart World exists. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still a lot of fun and has tons of content.
