This Jack Neria, a Lebanese-born Jew who was raised in Lebanon. He received his education in a Catholic school and later worked as a journalist in Lebanon.
In 1968, twenty years after the establishment of Israel, he decided to move there. During the Israeli invasion, he returned to Lebanon as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Israeli army.
One of the first things he did upon his return was visit his former school and tell his teachers: "I came back as part of the force that occupied Lebanon, you are now under our control"

I don't believe this is over but i think that time is on Iran's side. Likely the US will use this as an excuse to keep the war going without having to follow through on their escalatory threats, at least not right away.
