One hundred years ago today, on 13 August 1925, the construction of our race track was officially approved as a ‘major emergency project’ by the Ministry of Welfare. The very next day, contracts were signed with the four companies that would build the 28-kilometre-long track in two years – a symbolic starting signal for a globally unique project and also an economic turning point for the entire Eifel region.⚒️ From then on, the track was built by up to 2,300 workers at a time, who, previously unemployed, earned money building the Nürburgring, thereby not only securing their own livelihoods, but also creating something that has been providing important economic impetus to the Eifel region since the mid-1920s. 13 August 1925 is thus one of the dates of origin for what we know today as a legendary race track and versatile event venue. For almost 100 years, the Nürburgring has been a place of pilgrimage for racing fans and the economic engine of an entire region – thanks to the wise foresight of those responsible and the labour of countless people. ℹ️ The Nürburgring opened in 1927. On our #Roadto100 we will continue to look back on key milestones in our long history as we approach our big anniversary year! #Roadto100 #HeartRace

This is one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever seen. My best friend on a different strategy during the race let’s me by after asking me “let me know when you want me to move out of the way” and I get my points deleted. Congratulations Quartz. That’s the lowest of the low you could have ever gone. Very classy. That type of mental toughness is going to get you very far in GTWS. Reporting me almost every round of the season to try and get points deleted. The best part is that @thegranturismo only gave you a warning when you hit me out of the way for the win out of desperation in round 2. What a joke.
