#Elumale (2025) – Movie Review Cast: Raanna, Priyanka Achar, Kishore, T S Nagabharana, Jagapati Babu & others Runtime: 2h 13m Genre: Thriller Director: Punit Rangaswamy Plot: Set against the backdrop of the Karnataka–Tamil Nadu border, the film follows Revathy from Salem and Harish from Chamarajanagara, who decide to secretly meet one night to begin a new life together. On the very same night, a special task force gears up to capture a notorious forest brigand. Amidst this chaos, an unforeseen incident puts a group of police officers on the run. Whether the lovers can find each other in this storm forms the crux of Elumale. Writing & Direction: Director Punit Rangaswamy deserves a special mention for presenting an edge-of-the-seat thriller inspired by true events from 2004. The attention to detail stands out—be it the bilingual dialogues (Kannada and Tamil), references to films of that era, or the authentic depiction of real-life incidents. Multiple subplots run through the first half, but what’s refreshing is how neatly they converge by the end, making the coincidences feel organic rather than forced. This is a promising directorial effort, and it’ll be exciting to see what Punit delivers next. Performances: Raanna shows notable growth as an actor since his Ek Love Ya debut. His portrayal of Harish, a cab driver from Karnataka, is convincing and well-written. Priyanka Achar, making her big-screen debut after her television stint, shines as Revathy, effortlessly carrying the emotions of a Tamil girl in love. Kishore and T S Nagabharana, as police officers, bring gravitas to their roles, while Jagapati Babu and the rest of the ensemble deliver solid performances. Technical Aspects: D. Imaan’s music and background score lift the film at every step. The title track, in particular, is an absolute banger with great replay value. The use of songs demonstrates how traditional elements can be reimagined in a contemporary commercial film. Cinematographer Advaita Gurumurthy captures the MM Hills and its surroundings with stunning visuals. The night sequences, with their careful use of light and shadow, heighten the tension and anxiety throughout. Final Word: Kudos to producer Tharun Sudhir for backing such a bold and engaging project. Elumale brings together thrills, strong performances, sharp writing, and meticulous detailing, making it a memorable addition to Kannada cinema. For all thriller enthusiasts, this one’s worth a trip to the theatre. Let’s support content-driven cinema and celebrate the efforts of our Kannada film industry. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) @iamraanna @TharunSudhir @AtlantaNagendra @immancomposer @AdvaithaAmbara @tskreatiivez #ElumaleInCinemas #Elumale #MovieReview

two choices. you either raise a boy by teaching him empathy, respect, and the courage to challenge misogyny, trusting that your children will grow up to value consent and do better, or you choose not to have children at all. for my own sanity, i’d choose the second.

@Kaur_preet0596 Same consent should be in terms of using husband's money, receiving alimony in case of divorce. That's also not an inherent property of wife just to exploit and use on your boyfriend. Equality😂😊

No one is denying Marital Rape happens. The problem is a web series showing it only happens in Hindu marriages. That's when it becomes clear the makers don't care about a sensitive topic like rape & they just want to spread hate against Hindu men!

Ha the series which stereotypes men in marriage are monsters and deliberately targetting Hindu families. The same series that indirectly encourages and leaves a message that its love when a woman has sex with boyfriend or boss, but marital rape in case of husband. Only simps can encourage this series😂😂😂

Even in the 21st century, men are still acting like insecure fools. There is a Chiraiya web series that is truly based on real life incidents that happen in our society. But some men, feeling so insecure are behaving in a totally shameless way. They are only making stupid memes that target women just to satisfy their own fragile egos. They cannot even understand a simple thing “No” means no and “yes” means yes. They keep attacking and targeting women without any shame.

🚨 Women should learn these before marriage: • Financial independence • Emotional boundaries • Self-respect • Saying “no” without guilt • Identifying red flags • Not tolerating disrespect • Decision-making confidence What else is missing from this list?
