Change in squad, change in coaching staff, Jota, interrupted pre season conditioning and tactical preparation. Serious injuries to multiple players in Sam position. Grief. @lfcphl @20th_Centurygal He's been through it. I didn't realise,as you pointed out, that the hands are a main cause of the retirement. I assumed it was the cancer and just life reorientation on the back of that.

@lfcphl @20th_Centurygal I remember that drummer story, a prodigy of sorts. Its great to meet the bands especially when you're younger. We used to try to meet the bands anytime they came. Met loads. Megadeth and Metallica still my favourite from that era. Dave is retiring isn't he? Enjoy

@NitramFrancis @20th_Centurygal Was on the Among the Living Tour with Testament and Death Angel - where I think the drummer was like 14. Met the band walking around Liverpool before the gig. Fun days. Seing megadeth this summer with Maiden (Anthrax in same bill) Pantera is a baptism For sure

@lfcphl @20th_Centurygal First gig and it being a metal band is a he'll of a baptism. Mine was Megadeth supported by Pantera in Dublin so Pantera first. Never seen Anthrax. Sound of White Noise was my favourite by them.

You can like or dislike Mark Goldbridge. That part is entirely subjective, and I won't debate that view. What isn’t debatable is that he's built a massive platform by knowing what he is and sticking to it. He's been authentic, funny, and a legitimate fan of the sport. And he’s done it without turning into a dick for clicks. That level of decency is so rare in social media. Kudos to @markgoldbridge. He deserves to celebrate.
