Wizards never ending war on data continues. This seems pretty bad, especially for older formats that are primarily playing on MTGO. I also think it potentially leads to more calls for bannings since less decklists likely leads to a less diverse looking meta. mtgo.com/news/mtgo021726

Ok, and you are hiding 9th-32nd, the also-rans, the decks that didn't it done. That serves no purpose, other than hiding meta share, which is already incomplete from truncating results at 32nd. That's not substituting for playtesting, I assure you.

Of course, while Ryan is great, none of this remotely makes any sense. Wizards is producing seven Standard sets this year, so we literally will not have time for the puzzle to not be fresh. Look a the metagames from RC Portland to PT Richmond to AC11 and RC Milwaukee on Saturday.

The "problematic quantity of metagame decks" is because Wizard's has gone crazy with power creep. You can't sweep it under the rug. You can't sanitize it. There will be best decks and heavily played deck. Stop trying to hide it. Top 8 only is going to exacerbate the problem!!

Share a metagame screenshot from mtggoldfish to scare Wizards! Oh no, the tabletop meta might be different! It didn't account for Larry's Unicorn deck at the RCQ! Oh, you mean the online results, because people change decks to play what they think is best? How dare they!

They admitted that they are hiding data to slow down the speed at which online players solve formats. Instead of improving the quality of the game by printing less broken cards, they hide the data. It is important that the community protests united. @MagicOnline @DaybreakGames

What the fuck is this even supposed to mean? Why would there be any expectation of the online meta to match paper? People bring their net decks and their pet decks to FNM, the RC, or the 9pm Challenge. I played vs Rakdos Monument in Portland. Was I given an incorrect solution??

Decklist posts will now only feature up to Top 8 rather than up to Top 32. This means all these cool decks that barely didn't make it will never see the spotlight. If you do not like this change, make sure to voice your opinion. I strongly dislike this change 😡
