'Now I truly understand why so many women avoid marrying single fathers. Right now, my husband isn’t speaking to me, and it’s all because of his son. ​I am 28 years old and we have a 6-month-old baby together. I’ve known my husband for three years, and we have lived together for one. When we met, he was already a single dad to a 2-year-old boy (the mother sadly passed away during birth). ​That boy is now 5 years old. My biggest issue is that he doesn’t help with any chores at all, he doesn't like sweeping, same with washing the dishes, nothing. My husband came back home around 7: 50AM because he forgot his laptop. He found his son still at home and asked why he wasn't in school. He shouted that a 5-year-old is too young for chores and said my sister should be doing that work instead. I told him straight: my sister is not a maid; she is here to help me with the baby’s laundry. ​Since then he has been giving me the silent treatment. To make a point, he now wakes up at 5: 30AM every day to sweep the rooms and do the dishes himself so his son won't have to. ​Now, he has given me an ultimum. He wants my sister to leave so he can hire a professional nanny. I told him no, but he said if she isn't gone in a week, he will force her out himself. When I told him I would leave too, he simply said the door is open—but I’d have to leave our 6-month-old baby behind. ​ I’m currently stuck. I don’t want to lose my marriage, but I don’t want a stranger all in the name of a 'nanny' in my house either. If my sister leaves, she loses her chance at her training. Is it too much to ask a 5-year-old to do some household chores? Pls, whats wrong asking my step child to help out with chores??"

@Prince_dc21_ That Wednesday should have been the day he throws you out of the house woman. Reverse the table if that boy was your won't you even be the one sweeping and washing the dishes and still bath him, dress him up fast enough to ensure he doesn't get to school late. Wicked step mother

Dear Yorubas, I am really curious to know, is it part of your culture to come back to your benefactor the next day to say “thanks for yesterday”? I’ve noticed that EVERY Yoruba person that I’ve assisted on this app would send a message the next day to say “thank you for yesterday”. I’ve not noticed this with any other tribe and I don’t do it either. Please I need to know.

@jesse_buchi @Benking443 Thank you for the well-done. Anyways it's strange to you but not in my family it's not just my immediate younger sis that entered JSS1 at 7 the one after her also got into JSS at 8yrs and current done with secondary since last year

@NkemPerpee @Benking443 Jss1 at 7years. No kindergarten and nursery ? And the person just started primary education by 4 and had two double promotions to primary 5 where she/he wrote common entrance and didn't start home for months before the session start in secondary
