While Kaya 959 cited an ongoing "internal process" as the reason for the suspension, industry veteran DJ Fresh has stated that it is connected to a high-profile R2.5 million lawsuit filed by media personality Minnie Dlamini against Phenduka and his *Podcast and Chill* co-host, MacGyver "MacG" Mukwevho The lawsuit, lodged in the Equality Court, stems from misogynistic and defamatory remarks made on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Dlamini says the duo engaged in hate speech, harassment, and gender-based discrimination, particularly referencing comments about her personal life and hygiene following her breakup with Dr Brian Monaisa.
