Pakistan were better in 2022 T20 WC when moved to 4 fast bowler strategy! Faheem Ashraf is useless as a bowler but hitting is improved but rather back younger guy

I do not know why these people think that we have a problem with Shadab the person. We do not have any problem with Shadab the person. We have a problem with the flawed process that has been used here to select him.
Let us not forget that he has not played a single ODI since the World Cup 2023. Let us not forget that he was woeful in the World Cup 2023. Let us not forget that in any instances during this time wherever he bowled, he does not look like a bowler who will consistently hunt wickets or score runs in a way that will make this team win matches.
I remember when Muhammad Nawaz was selected again after the World Cup 2024 without any performance in domestic cricket. A lot of us, including me, condemned this decision and I still do. I condemned it because I knew that Muhammad Nawaz's bowling abilities had been greatly diminished and he was not that effective after his finger injury in 2023. When he started performing in bilaterals, people thought that this would work. Unfortunately any shortcut method you suggest will never work. Even if Shadab does perform now and somehow makes us believe that he might do well in the World Cup 2027, the chances are that he will collapse heavily in the World Cup 2027 just like Nawaz did in the World Cup 2024. When the process is not clean, the result will never be clean.

Pakistan 🇵🇰 have only spin allrounders which is a big issue as in SA need seam a/r to BALANCE the team effectively! Shahzad was not playing PSL regularly so he is not an option! Ahmed Daniyal/Wasim JNR are options

No matter how many spin tracks you prepare, shadab can't perform, Even if he performs well against C, D side, or minnows, he will definitely flop in the WC27. He couldn't even perform in his best format during WC26, so what can we expect from him in ODIs where he's useless.

It’s actually a topic I talked about on the latest #PCB podcast. Firstly the World Cup is jointly hosted in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Zimbabwe and Namibia have venues where spin is a big factor and we will be playing matches in those countries. The myth of all pitches in South Africa being quick and bouncy are just not true, there are definitely some which are but they also vary throughout the country. Those that remember the last ODI series Pakistan played in SA which included Paarl where spin dictated the outcome of the match. Rest assured we have competed significant research and will be using the next 18 months to prepare for a variety of conditions.

@fatiqmir Why you guys blaming coach, it's your high upper management like Aaquib and Naqvi who are the real culprit for Pakistan cricket downfall. Hesson has to follow the order from top or else even he knows his job will be over.

Mandatory post to appreciate him for remembering our roots. RCB change did not start in 2025 but it started from 2020. He has flaws, but after 2017-19 he laid foundation for RCB domination.
