@JohnRussellTur3@MattWalshBlog $300 a month to "eat well" and $800 a month for "mortgage" AND a well paying job?
That's the American dream. Too bad hardly any Americans can live it.
I know you said "most families", (not all). Nevertheless, I find it hard to believe anyone is suffering. I eat well for 300 dollars a month, my mortgage is 800 a month, have a well paying job (here in North Florida, and before that in Georgia). All the people I know are doing well. A bit pessimistic, Matt?
Americans are suffering. It is way too expensive just to live for most families. Our cities aren’t safe. Our country is being transformed every day by foreign migration. Our elections aren’t secure. The SAVE act was not passed and won’t be passed. It’s time to end this war in Iran and focus on our country, our people, our future. Far too much of Trump’s second term has been spent on foreign adventures. It has to end. Turn the attention back home.
my mentions are full of libertarians and leftists that behave as if they have never encountered Donald Trump and his hyperbolic bluster in the ten years he’s been involved in politics.
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran."
— Hillary Clinton
Tell me again how the candidates and political parties are so different.
Please. I’m begging you.
I was smeared as an anti-Semite and “Holocaust denier” for even broaching this topic.
Turns out I was onto something…..
“Israeli officials obtained Hamas’s battle plan for the Oct. 7 terrorist attack more than a year before it happened, documents, emails and interviews show. But Israeli military and intelligence officials dismissed the plan as aspirational, considering it too difficult for Hamas to carry out.
The approximately 40-page document, which the Israeli authorities code-named “Jericho Wall,” outlined, point by point, exactly the kind of devastating invasion that led to the deaths of about 1,200 people.
The translated document, which was reviewed by The New York Times, did not set a date for the attack, but described a methodical assault designed to overwhelm the fortifications around the Gaza Strip, take over Israeli cities and storm key military bases, including a division headquarters.
Hamas followed the blueprint with shocking precision.”

TWO STATEMENTS BY TRUMP 7 MINUTES APART:
Trump at 9:00: "Regime change was not our goal. We don't want that"
Trump at 9:07: "Regime change is what we want. It is needed"
These statements were made 7 minutes apart in the same speech
Trump is a dumpster fire
Biden had advanced dementia
Kamala was a historically bad candidate/unlikable
All 3 of these things can be true at the same time
FIVE YEARS OF GROCERY RECEIPTS JUST EXPOSED THE MOST PROTECTED LIE IN ECONOMICS.
Since 2019, the government says cumulative inflation is about 25%.
Here is what actually happened to the things you buy every single week:
Eggs: +79%
Ground beef: +77%
Coffee: +68%
Car insurance: +55%
Electricity: +43%
Bacon: +26%
Bread: +24%
Five out of seven of those are running 2x to 3x faster than the official number. And the only two that tracked near CPI? Bacon and bread. The lowest-cost, lowest-margin items in the basket.
The things that actually drain a household budget, the protein, the energy, the insurance you are legally required to carry, those are the ones the official number keeps understating.
The CPI was retooled in the 1990s to reduce reported inflation. They added substitution adjustments. They changed how they weight housing. They smoothed out the things that spike. This is documented BLS methodology, not conspiracy.
Food overall is up 30% since end of 2019. Car insurance premiums up 54% since 2020. Electricity just hit all-time record prices. But the official line is 2.4% annual inflation and the Fed debates rate cuts.
Your grocery receipt is the only honest inflation report left.
