My Gran passed away over night. She was 96. Born the same year as the queen, she grew up poor on a council estate in Manchester. She didn’t have much but never once did she moan. She was a tough cookie. Built different. A great woman who was hard working and loyal.

Just been informed that my Gran will be leaving this earth soon at the ripe old age of 96. She was like a mother to me and my siblings. She stepped up to the plate when my mum disappeared. I’ll miss all of her amazing stories and will cherish the many memories. Love you Gran ❤️
