It’s been brought to my attention he failed an Italy physical medical back in September when called for the U21’s and has therefore not been allowed to compete for Italy in international play. This issue has now apparently been resolved (hence why he was added to the squad)

🚨 Michael Kayode has joined the Italy U21’s as coach Silvio Baldini has decided to add him (no injuries) 🇮🇹✅ So this confirms he was left out (at first) because he was simply not selected, which is bizarre.
