No Merde Sherlock 💩
@NoMerdeSherlock
Mostly a lurker. Politics (showbiz for ugly people), finance, humour, current affairs, goings on. That kind of thing.

Amid all the admiration and decrying of the achievements of Zack Polanski and Hannah Spencer, it’s worth noting how little they talk about the environment, climate change, net Zero - especially after a winter of endless rain. Eco-populism without the eco.

Tesco sucks up more consumer disposable income than any other brand. It makes £4bn profit a year. Nothing wrong with that, no one is forced to shop at Tesco. Who owns this vast corporation? Billionaires? No. Millions of retail investors and other investment corporations like BlackRock and Vanguard. And people think “the rich” are the problem. They’re not. It’s the corporations and government policy on corporations. Taxing the rich won’t make any difference. Do it anyway if you think it’ll actually make you feel better. But it’s foolish to believe it can actually redistribute wealth when we all queue up to hand over our money to corporations every day.

Remind me why I pay you over £130 a month @Hullccnews
