Land Surveying in the US🤷 Did you know? "3 surveyors & another guy" accurately describes Mt. Rushmore. Surveying is the 2nd oldest profession in the world. Most US land titles stem from the PLSS. In the US it started with the 1785 Land Ordinance. More, see comments!

Nicotine consumers are unfairly demonized. Their choices deserve respect, just like those who enjoy alcohol or coffee. It's time to end the stigma and recognize personal autonomy. #Nicotine #PersonalChoice #HarmReduction

Former North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr warned about unelected bureaucrats standing in the way of getting legal alternative nicotine vapes to American shops, calling out the FDA approach to new products. “It was Congress’s belief over 15 years ago when we passed the Tobacco Control Act, that if industry would invest in new technologies, that we would set up a mechanism for those products to be approved. That’s what’s failed. And it hadn’t failed because of the lack of scientific data that’s been presented. We have seen where when called on the mat, the FDA went back into re-review on a declined project and then turned around and approved it but took a very similar product right behind it and took no action on it,” he said, calling it arbitrary and saying it has restricted products reaching the market." aol.com/articles/forme…

There are now 129 MILLION vapers worldwide and there has still never been even one death linked to nicotine vaping. Can any other consumer product that can make that claim, let alone simultaneously also be responsible for saving tens of millions of lives? sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Popcorn lung is linked to diacetyl. Most vapes do not contain diacetyl. Cigarette smoke contains diacetyl and does not cause popcorn lung. x.com/GMB/status/191…

"What is happening to our children and their health and their lungs, which means vaping is causing these dangerous reactions?" @edballs questions Dr Jayesh Bhatt, a consultant in Respiratory Paediatrics at Nottingham Children's Hospital.

Why didn’t the Grand Forks, ND Health Dept delete this tweet once they were given information that it is not true that vaping causes popcorn lung? Where is the accountability to provide the public with factual health information? x.com/GFPublicHealth…
GF Public Health@GFPublicHealth

Do you know about vaping and popcorn lung?🍿🫁 Diacetyl is frequently added to flavored e-liquid to enhance the taste. Inhaling diacetyl can cause popcorn lung, which makes breathing difficult. Get help quitting vaping or other tobacco products, visit NDQuits.org

@ElonClipsX Inherently governmental vs non-inherently governmental. What does the gov have to do itself vs what can be contracted. I think it is in the FAR act.

Elon Musk in 2011 on the role of government and free enterprise: “Free enterprise is always going to be more efficient.” “I think in general it's tough for government to do things efficiently. Government should try to minimize the number of things that government does. So I'm generally a proponent of smaller government, not bigger government, just because government as a system is not an efficient system. So, you want to minimize the government participation in the economy. That doesn't mean getting rid of it, but it's just saying you have to rethink really carefully before government does something versus free enterprise does something. Free enterprise is always going to be more efficient. There are things like basic physics research, and obviously I think we'd rather have a government army than a private army. And I think probably a government justice system than a private justice system. There's sort of things that the government should do and also kind of doing things like the Hubble and the Mars rovers. Something like the Hubble is a small amount of good for everyone. It's like, well, we learn more about the universe. Got some really cool pictures. And that's a value to all of America and all of humanity, really. But it's hard to say, like, who's going to pay for it if you try to raise private funds for it. You might be able to get it, but it's harder.” From: Motley Fool Interview, September 29, 2011

@elonmusk @JDVance As long as tax dollars that are used get replaced from "spoils of war" then sure. If we are going to police the world then we should get reimbursed with a little extra for the trouble.

The president offered multiple off ramps, but was very clear throughout this process: the drug trafficking must stop, and the stolen oil must be returned to the United States. Maduro is the newest person to find out that President Trump means what he says. Kudos to our brave special operators who pulled off a truly impressive operation.

@ThomasSowell One POV is that Public Ed started as and still is an indoctrination tool. College is an extension thereof. The whole idea is to have a continually replenished supply of complacent workers. Critical thinking is discouraged.

@BillyM2k @MsMelChen Perfect image! I'm a broken record on this, but I think "no child left behind" was the catalyst of DEI. Started with indoctrinating children then moved into society at all levels. Glad the fog has started lifting so people can see the truth.

Durbin continues to ignore the drop in youth usage and pushes for vape taxes that are proven to increase smoking rates. x.com/SenatorDurbin/…
Senator Dick Durbin@SenatorDurbin

Big Tobacco's deadly profit scheme relies on addicting children. I introduced the End Tobacco Loopholes Act with @RonWyden and @CongressmanRaja to update federal taxes on tobacco corporations, helping to prevent youth smoking and vaping, and saving billions on health care costs.
