So proud of our new paper! We try to explain what hope is and how it could be measured. We offer a comprehensive overview of the Bidimensional Model of Hope, which describes hope in its most nucleus form and thus enables an understanding of hope in the broadest scope possible.

We both had our challenging experiences of violent conflicts, and in many ways we share similar motivations, values and goals when we study them. Very proud of that book. It’s a simple and comprehensive overview of the state of the art of studies on intergroup interventions. A fantastic book for anyone studying or implementing such interventions in the field. Thanks for all authors and especially @BoazHameiri @reblitt

We tested 10 behavioral interventions to mitigate #climatechange in 63 countries (N = 59,440) The interventions’ effectiveness was small, largely limited to nonclimate skeptics, and differed across outcomes: -Beliefs were strengthened mostly by decreasing psychological distance (by 2.3%) -Policy support by writing a letter to a future-generation member (2.6%) -Information sharing by negative emotion induction (12.1%) -No intervention increased the more effortful behavior—several interventions even backfired by reducing tree planting! Our paper is in @ScienceAdvances : science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… It was led by @vlasceanu_mada and @kim_doell and included a massive team of over 250 collaborators from around the world!
