@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr mm, I believe you. But there are great tools coaches, and then there is David Popkins.
The man turned Myles Straw into a productive big league hitter. Barger, Clement, Schneider, Lukes. George Springer was washed. Kirk had had a bad year. The guy is unreal.
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr And I think our front office is just straight up better at evaluating players than the Yankees. It feels like every year there's some guy who turns up and just becomes a valuable player for no reason. Cashman and Boone don't understand how to use the talent they get
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr I do understand that Cease, Ponce and Yesavage are all question marks, but the afore mentioned hitting coach turned like 7 guys who were liabilities last year into valuable big league bats. We have tradeable options and an attractive destination if any of them don't work out
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr The Yankees thought Devin Williams was such a good idea that they got rid of their beard policy for him. I don't think the philosophies are the same.
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr the fact that my last-place team turned it around, won the pennant and is in good shape for more world series opportunities for a few more years at least? no, it doesn't, you're right! Good time to be a Jays fan
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr Cop out. But alright, since I can ascribe it whatever meaning I want, I'll take it to say "hallmark of a well-adjusted person who isn't miserable over his sports team losing" :)
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr no, I think you should highlight it. I never said nor implied that.
Do you have anything left other than cheap ragebait or are you ready to concede this debate?
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr And yes, you are the one who seems oddly upset that fans of a team are happy with a season that went way better than they expected.
@Nobadi_@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr Well, you said it not me.
I left it that hanging to see how you see yourself.
Mad at what? You all are the ones replying to me with name calling and such.
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr You don’t have to be a coward about calling me a loser. I’m not really interested in what you think of my character, so let it fly. At the end of the day you’re here after back to back world series and you’re still mad, whereas I’m not. So who’s enjoying baseball more?
@EmptyEmptyChair@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr The Dodgers didn’t win the world series from 1988-2020. I’m going to assume you were around for a lot of that. That means you chose to be miserable about something every single year over something you had no control over. Why am I supposed to admire that?
@joshiek_23@VladtheBuilderr@EmptyEmptyChair Most guys like this fall under two categories
1: severe lack of emotional intelligence, making then unable to understand having fun even when not winning
2: lack of accomplishment in their real lives causes them to latch onto their sports teams victories as if they are their own
@VladtheBuilderr@EmptyEmptyChair@Nobadi_ i like how they think we despise losing the world series and how we hate that we got second. like yes it would’ve been nice to win but that run was so cool to watch
