@atticusfours @MattieMathias_ I thought halo kids were supposed to be toxic

@Coyokic Generally speaking, there are bad eggs in every community/group and a single person's actions should never reflect on a group. You should always judge individuals based on their character, not assumptions made.
I agree with Wiley here.

@RevanLaughs @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster It's not about the movement speed. It's about the perception of controlling your speed. It's about pressing a button and doing an action. Maybe I'm underestimating how many players there are like me, but I think most find that more enjoyable.
English

@NobleBH @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster If you upped the base movement speed a bit (like they did for comp) then no, it doesn’t feel slow at all. Especially with FOV sliders.
Halo doesn’t need to have Apex or CoD movement to be successful. There are vehicles and equipment to assist with movement regardless.
English

Let them have a fair shot. Don’t let them waste 4 years for something they had no control over. c.org/w786qBM6Bh

@RevanLaughs @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster If you put out a poll, sure. But if you have someone play halo 3 or any of the other halos with sprint, most would say the others are more fun. Halo 3 just feels clunky and slow at this point. Again, I think the game is competitively better without sprint, but not as fun
English

@NobleBH @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster I think if we gave out a poll to casual halo players about what matters most to them, the presence of sprint is likely very far down the list.
From a competitive standpoint, sprint has always been a mess. Which is why we have the watered down sprint in Infinite now.
English

@RevanLaughs @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster I don't like sprint... Gameplay wise.. sprint is more fun to play with. For halo to be successful, we need a fun game for the broader community
English

@MattieMathias_ @NobleBH @Fritzster I’m just not seeing the arguments FOR sprint aside from:
“Other games have it”
“We have had it for a while already so might as well keep it”
“Don’t be overly nostalgic”
“We need the speed”
Every one of those are easily addressed imo
English

@RevanLaughs @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster I wouldn't say it's important for movement speed at all. More about most games having it, and giving people something to "do" when there is no action.
English

@NobleBH @MattieMathias_ @Fritzster If sprint is important for Halo because of the movement speed, just increase the base movement speed.
Infinite has already shown that the animation is a gimmick since you can instantly shoot out of it.
English

@MattieMathias_ @Fritzster Yeah, I don't want to be able to see when I play lol
English

@MattieMathias_ @Fritzster If the halo games simply came out feature complete... And had good campaigns, we'd be in so much better shape. A core part to the community has always been forge and custom games.
English

@NobleBH @Fritzster If Infinite came out when H5 did and vice versa. We'd have a season next year tldr
English

@MattieMathias_ @Fritzster I loved h5, many players did; however, it was not the most widely popular halo. I don't know if lack of sprint would help with that though. I do think sprint is necessary for broad appeal these days. H5 style movement and shield Regen was a great balance.
English

@NobleBH @Fritzster Add sprint there's more to it. H5 was perfect, sprinting didnt make your shields regenerate so you had to walk in aspects, or time when to sprint to get away etc then sit to regenerate. All whilst still having the movement gap. It's why its regarded as the best comp halo
English

@MattieMathias_ @Fritzster My argument against it would be that Halo's killtime makes it unique in the arena shooter space where the skillgap is generated from teamwork and timing. Sprint allows for more individual skill gap. Removing it sticks to the core of what makes halo unique.
