Ty Lee isn’t just hitting random spots she’s targeting specific chi pressure points that disrupt the flow of energy in the body. In ATLA, chi blocking is treated like a martial art based on anatomical precision. Ty Lee was trained to recognize points where chi pathways are concentrated.When she strikes those points, she temporarily interrupts movement, bending, or even normal muscle control. So what’s going on in practice is she sees the body normally, not glowing energy lines but she has memorized and trained to detect pressure point locations through experience and elite training. Her accuracy is fast enough that in combat it looks like she’s just tapping randomly but it’s actually deliberate and precise.
