@americakaran Wouldn’t that pave the way for or hasten the BJP’s arrival in KL?

@NoirHyle 10 years without power now might mean no funds from corruption to pass onto their local muscle, who might seek a new paymaster

Looks like the Commie IT cell has got its orders. Dog whistling against Muslims to shore up its Hindu base it’s leaking to BJP. Inshallah, hope it works.🤞Ten years out in the cold without stolen KIIFB funds might make more cadres step over to take saffron Delhi cash.

@americakaran Could you shed some light on the IUML ? What is their vision and long-term political goal? Are they an exclusively Muslim party? How do they balance community-based politics with coalition politics ? Why do they place so much importance on holding the education portfolio?

And "decade" is no joke. VDS stands a strong chance of being CM for 10 years. He's a determined winner, who never loses something after he wins it. He modernized INC,and UDF, brought together a broad coalition, and now has mass popularity behind him. Plus Opposition is now weak🧵
Joe ن 🗽🌴🚡🏙️@americakaran

Today at church my mom asked me to light a candle and pray for VD Satheesan. Kerala is at a turning point. Over the next decade, it either becomes a thriving secular megalopolis. Or a communally polarized old age home. And its on him now, more than anyone else. Godspeed, VDS.

@wordi25 Most lean more toward Raga Yaman Kalyan than strict Yaman, though film composers often blur that boundary. A few more: Naam Gum Jayega Kahin Ye Wo To Nahi Hai Jab Deep Jale Aana Chandan Sa Badan Nigaahein Milaane Ko Jee Chahta Hai

TIL that some of my favorite Hindi songs are all based on Raag Yaman. The beauty is this is the first time I noticed that they all do have an underlying similar sound.

In 2028, assuming BJP wins UP, BJP will enjoy a comfortable simple majority in Rajya Sabha.

DMK ensured Congress had a saving face in 2019 and 2024 LS elections. In 2019, DMK got them 8 seats (total 52) In 2024, DMK for them 9 seats (total 99) And now Cong jumps the ships to Vijay. If this becomes a proper 3-party state, Congress is done in TN!

@UpdatesChennai Agree with this assessment .Recently did a one-week in Feb trip to Kumbakonam, Trichy, Thanjavur, Chidambaram & Madurai. Huge tourism potential if promoted well and kept clean. Public transport and people were 10/10.

@RajeswariAiyer @greatbong @monakaran IMO, it’s very simple a Paki journo is a soldier of IsIam, and hence pro-Pak. An Indian journo hates their religion and land, and hence pro-Pak.

Well said. The difference is this: Pakistani journalists live in an illusion of pride created by their misleading leaders and tend to follow them blindly. Speaking out against them often comes with severe consequences. Whereas in India, journalists live with a sense of pride that is rooted in real achievements and real leadership, yet many choose neither to acknowledge nor support it deliberately chose to be presstitues. Even when they write against the Indian government, very often no action is taken.

What unites India and Pakistan is that Pakistani journalists who write for foreign outlets, uncritically promote Pakistan and Indian journalists who write for foreign outlets uncritically promote Pakistan.

This has become a normal situation in Kerala 😂 Most people from my parent's generation can't speak or understand hindi. You can't find malayalis to do daily wages work. The North indian migrant workers can't understand Malayalam or english. It's a live Priyadarshan movie

Indians are natural polyglots. Very few nationalities can claim to be like so. Language chauvinists won't agree, but the primary reason is Samskrutam and the Samskruti that ensues as undercurrents that facilitate linguistic plasticity.
Karthik Reddy@bykarthikreddy

ASHWINI ML, the BJP MLA candidate from Kasargod, Kerala easily speaks, unhesitatingly 5 languages & with fluency Tulu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, English Probably, the only party that loves all languages without spreading any hate against fellow Indians, Indian languages

1. Where to eat? 1. Anna’s Mess (Counterintuitive to go and eat south indian food in Rishikesh but this was really something!) 2. Garhwali Thali at VJ’s by the Ganges The ragi roti, crispy flavourful rice and all the pahaadi curries were out of the world) 3. Darjeeling/Shiva momos Gets really crowded in late evenings so plan accordingly 4. Tat Cafe Good North Indian, good view, rude but decently fast service 5. Beatles cafe Purely for the service - better than all the other cafes where the staff was always overwhelmed 6. Arches Good coffee and views What is hyped up but can be skipped: 1. Little Buddha Cafe Taste of the food was poor, service wasn’t prompt, very crowded, decent views only if you find a window side table 2. Shivani’s cafe Nothing that stood out for me personally but can’t pin point anything too bad either 3. House of Amritsar and the other north indian restaurants behind it Service was poor and food was average as well 4. German Bakery The baked items were not fresh at all. Saw flies inside their cake display. What was suggested but I didn’t have the time to try: 1. Chotiwala Really famous but couldn’t find a table 2. Secret Garden Cafe 3. Ira’s 4. Om Freedom Cafe - couldn’t get a table

One of the rare times in indian cinema when second part is better than first, talking about kohrra The best part being no certain agenda is being pushes, not even feminism. Just a woman killing at her job without making it all about the gender

There might not be anyone going for 25 Slams again, and there might not be any man going for the Career Slam at age 22 again. Still cannot believe those two outcomes are intertwined. The more I think about it… this is arguably the highest-stakes men’s tennis match of all time?
