Gyokeres was 10x better in the second half. General hold up and link up play massively improved and was rewarded with his goal. He’s not been good enough so far, but that second half was a lot more encouraging.

The Stadium of Light is no joke. Sunderland have taken points off both City and Arsenal at home, and fully deserved both results. A club having an atmosphere and stadium like that is a massive advantage over the other smaller clubs in the league.

I’ll take the win, but 2 own goals and a penalty have bailed us out the last 2 games. I’m starting to see the same problems Arsenal have had offensively the last couple years. We’re dominating the game in the first and second phases, but again, when it comes to the final third & struggling putting the game to bed. Tweaking is needed.

I would love to know what warrants Sesko having a “higher ceiling” than Ekitike? With Ekitike, you’re looking at a future world class striker. The Sesko ceiling must be astronomical.
