@TheCalvinCooli1 A hacker? Just so happened to be conveniently leaked right before the Trump Xi summit, eh? Sorry must be a coincidence… Anywho, what time is the new American/Chinese trade deal getting signed?

@zerohedge So the plan might be to charge ships to pass through the strait that Iran was threatening to close. Enemies to business partners via toll booth.

@JavierBlas Correction; China can’t get non-US-controlled cheap oil anymore. @DoombergT might have a point about where the price of oil is going after this.

@JavierBlas And I mean, what can the US do? Israel will just really want to bomb Iran. We’ll just have to go along with it because (sigh) I guess we have no choice. Cynical enough?

The US has to answer some questions: Does the US Treasury extend the waiver on Russian oil sales? (the general license expires on Sunday, Apr 11) And more politically charged, does the US Treasury extend the waiver on Iranian oil sales? (the general license expires Apr 19)

@TheMichaelEvery Michael - is it coincidence that this just happened? 👇 And if those “long term purchases” don’t pan out cause that’s happened before, well according to @netanyahu we’re only ever months away from Iran having The Bomb, right?

China imports US oil for Asian fuel markets amid Hormuz crisis @asiatimesonline asiatimes.com/2026/04/china-… China is moving to resume large-scale purchases of United States liquefied natural gas (LNG) and crude oil, as supply disruptions in the Middle East and tightening fuel markets across Asia force Beijing to recalibrate its energy strategy. In return, China will have sufficient fuel supply to resume gasoline exports to Asian countries, helping it maintain market share and increase political influence in the region amid tightening fuel supplies. On March 11, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) ordered a halt to exports of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel. The resumption of China's purchases of US crude oil and LNG appears to reflect limited strategic flexibility for Beijing, as disruptions to supplies from Venezuela and the Middle East constrain its options. He adds that China’s decision to resume large-scale energy purchases from the US comes ahead of a planned leaders’ meeting between Beijing and Washington in May, and that the deal helps create a more constructive atmosphere for high-level dialogue.

After this “2-week ceasefire”, the U.S. says Iran’s 10-point plan is a “workable basis on which to negotiate”; Iran’s (powerless?) foreign minister is “considering” the opposed 15-point U.S. plan; Israel is hitting Iran; Iran is hitting Israel & the GCC; no U.S. forces have been withdrawn; Iran is taking tolls from Hormuz with Oman; and a pro-Iran source says only 10-15 ships per day will be allowed to pass, so Hormuz isn’t “open.” And oil prices have collapsed. Let’s see where we are in a few days - or hours.

@atxnfo @abcampbell I’m more optimistic since China is moving to long term purchases of US Oil/LNG. My prediction; Iranian oil will be unsanctioned AND sold in $’s IF those long term purchases pan out. If not - well, according to Bibi we’re always only months away from Iran having the bomb… 😉

@JavierBlas Bruh they said that to give Trump face. If you read both their statement and Trump’s, it’s the Iran 10-point plan that is the basis for the ceasefire. That means Iran charges $2 million per ship.

@JavierBlas My only question; Is the toll booth still gonna be paid for in Chinese Yuan (everyone conveniently forgot about) Or In US stable-coins (the on/off switch the US treasury wanted)

Interesting that Iran also somehow recognises the U.S. 15-point plan as part of the peace negotiations.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council has confirmed that a ceasefire has been agreed based on Iran's 10-point proposal. It says Iran has achieved a "significant victory" against the US and Israel, adding that that Tehran will continue to "control the Strait of Hormuz".

🇮🇷 Political analyst Marzie Khalilian says it’s hard to see why Iran would agree to the current ceasefire proposal. The deal on the table: Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks while Trump extends his deadline. Khalilian’s take: “What will the Iranians gain? These two weeks will only embolden the other side to continue their attacks.” “Ceasefire” is starting to sound a lot like “surrender with extra steps.” Iran’s response will be very telling. Trump and Iran WILL accept some form of ceasefire/delay tonight, and WILL end the war this month. Here's why... What most people don't realize, but the markets know very well: Trump has no choice but to end this war very soon Simple reason: 'It's the economy stupid' Trump is not 'insane', as some are saying. He went too far with his posts, but he did the same with Greenland, and with Canada, to name a few The Trump posting right now is the same Trump that tried hard to end the war in Ukraine, 'ended' the Gaza war (in theory), and credits himself with ending many other wars The Iran war is a tragic miscalculation: Was meant to be a Venezuela 2.0, but failed miserably Since then, Trump has abandoned all his initial objectives: Regime change, regime modification, controlling the Strait When he realized and accepted this new reality, Iran realized how much leverage they have by controlling the Strait of Hormuz, and they weren't gonna let that go unless they get concessions that make up for the massive destruction they faced But here's the reality: Iran doesn't want to keep getting bombed, and Trump doesn't want to crash the global economy Both parties want to end the war as soon as possible. They are currently going through a process in which each side realizes how much (or little) leverage they have, and what concession they need to make. Pakistan's request for a 2-week ceasefire likely came at Trump's request, with Iran hinting they will accept it. The ceasefire decision has already been made by both sides, and we will know about it shortly. And in relation to the war, I expect the war to end this month. Both Iran and Trump, no matter what you think of them, are rational actors

@MarioNawfal Tbh; I don’t think we’ll really find out anything tonight, except everybody walking away from the red line, including Iran. We didn’t get details regarding Cuban missile crisis till years after. Even if the US extract anything notable from my Iran, we should let them save face.
