Wildfire Out of Control in Norway: More Than 100 Homes Destroyed Six helicopters have been deployed to fight a major wildfire in Norway. In the Norwegian town of Krokstadelva, located in Drammen Municipality, more than 100 homes have been destroyed by a large wildfire that authorities say is “out of control.” This was confirmed by police incident commander Frode Presthus in a statement to the Norwegian newspaper VG. “This is, of course, a disaster,” he said earlier in the evening, referring to the many people who have lost their homes.
