With a tornado speeding straight for their home in Ash Flat, Arkansas, lineman Clint Ray and his wife gathered their two children and fled to safety just 30 minutes before the twister tore their house to pieces. Read more ⬇️ bit.ly/4l4cW5S

NAEC personnel are responding to scattered outages affecting a total of 241 member accounts. We've received no reports of broken poles or trees on lines. The biggest issue has been the weight of the snow causing energized lines to sag into the neutral and burn through.

NAEC's lobbies will be closed Friday, Jan. 10. The drive-throughs in Salem and Mountain Home will be open, and members can reach NAEC by calling (870) 895-3221 or emailing info@naeci.com.

Members served by Henderson Substation will experience a brief outage tonight, Jan. 2. It will begin at 11 p.m. and last about 10 minutes. Crews must replace vital equipment in the substation. Affected members will receive an automated call this afternoon.

Happy New Year! NAEC's offices are closed Jan. 1. A dispatcher is on duty, and personnel are on call in the event of an outage. Report an outage by using the NAEC app or by calling (870) 895-3221.

NAEC's billing system will be unavailable due to year-end processing from 4:30 p.m. Dec. 31 until approximately 8 a.m. Jan. 2. Members will not be able to make payments through the automated phone system, app or portal. Methods to report an outage will not be affected.

@NorthARElectric Well, thanks. I guess I'll be having a cold sandwich in a cold home because you can't keep the power on. I give you crap, cause you're great compared to @Entergy . They couldn't keep the power on for more than 12 hours at a time.

NAEC and @NEXTbyNAEC employees greeted visitors and accepted donations at the Coulter Celebration of Lights at @ASUMountainHome Monday. Experience the lights from 5:30-9:30 through Dec. 29!

The 3,725 members served by the Salem 1 and 2 substations will experience an outage beginning at 11 p.m. Dec. 4. The outage should last one hour and is necessary so that personnel can perform maintenance safely. Affected members will receive an automated call this afternoon.

Third graders are playing in new shoes thanks to NAEC's Sole Power Project. For 11 years, NAEC has given shoes in Calico Rock, Cave City, Cotter, Highland, Hillcrest, Izard County Consolidated, Mammoth Spring, Melbourne, Mountain Home, Norfork, Salem and Viola school districts.
