A joy to hear #Janacek 's wonderous score for #TheMakropulosCase played and sung brilliantly for the first time at the Royal Opera London @rbo_org. Bravo conductor #JakubHrůša , soprano #AusrineStundyte singers and players one and all. And what a score it is!

Today we celebrate Hancock's centenary. Born #OTD 12 May 1924, Hancock rose through the ranks of stage and radio to become Britain's top comedian, famous for Hancock's Half on radio from 1954 and later on TV. He left a wonderful legacy of laughter for us to enjoy #Hancock100
