Happy Father's Day! NPSAR was tasked out by RCMP today for a missing person from Charlie Lake. We were stood down with a successful result. This was our first task out of our new hall!

North Peace Search & Rescue was on the move yesterday to our new building! Out with the old and in with the new!! A huge thank you to the City of Fort St. John for supporting our team. Without this wonderful city's support, this would not have been possible. Thank you!

Did you see some of our brightly dressed members over at Sundance Lake today? 5 of our members are currently taking their Ice Rescue Instructor certification with Dive Rescue International.

Tonight team members were utilizing new iPads to integrate live search monitoring with SAR-Topo.

It's been a busy two weeks. Responded to a call in Fort Nelson for stranded hunters, Mutual Aid with @southpeaceSAR for a missing woman and today another MA with @southpeaceSAR for rope rescue of a 9 year old who got himself into a scary spot near the top of Clayhurst Cliffs.

Responding to a mutual aid request from @QuesnelSAR .

This afternoon we were requested my RCMP and BC Ambulance for a rescue of an injured hiker in the Kiskatinaw River Valley. The hiker was brought out from the valley bottom using stretcher wheel and rope assist.

Yesterday evening we were requested by RCMP to assist with stranded snowmobilers on Williston Lake who had trouble on bad ice. After an attempt to reach the pair was turned around due to bad ice conditions a helicopter mission was launched first thing in the morning.

North Peace SAR members were out completing our critical Ice Rescue Technician course this weekend. The theory was all taught with zoom meetings and the practical skills were done in a socially distant and masked up way to keep everyone safe. #bcsar @BCSARAssoc @fortstjohn #prrd

Update: Stood down while on route. RCMP located the hunters on a back road.

Tasked this morning by the RCMP to search for an overdue hunter in the Halfway River area.

This past weekend three of our team members we're successful in completing the Rope Rescue Technician I evaluation in Prince George. Congratulations guys!
