SBA team members attended the Southeastern Small Business Lenders Conference. It was an energizing few days of learning, collaboration, and conversation.

We stepped out of the office and onto the ice for an afternoon at the Triangle Curling Center. It was a humbling, fun-filled afternoon that made us level up our teamwork.

A great reminder of the power of connection at the @ILMchamber Women’s Professional Development Luncheon. From relationship‑building to Lauren Beane’s keynote on being “ready enough,” the event offered perspective and inspiration.

Out of the office and onto the lanes! Our SBA, Credit, and Loan Ops teams showed up for strikes, spares, and serious fun.

It was a full house of builders, realtors, and partners at our annual Triangle Housing & Economic Forecast, presented by our own 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 and Jim Allen of the Jim Allen Group. Big thanks to the keynote speakers, Dr. Harry Davis and Susan Heffron.

𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻 and 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 attended the @ABABankers Washington Summit this week, joining bankers from across the country to discuss the issues that matter most to our industry and our customers.

Big news! Chief Mortgage Sales Officer 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 has been recognized as the Best Mortgage Officer in the 2026 Maggy Awards by @wakelivingmag. This award reflects the trust homebuyers place in his guidance and experience. Congrats, Thomas!

Mortgage Loan Officer 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗹 joined Realtor Elizabeth Small of Fathom Realty to host an in‑person homebuyer seminar. She walked attendees through the mortgage application process and best practices to help future homeowners reach their goals.

Mortgage Community Outreach Officer 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀 recently served as co-chair of the Education Committee for the @REALTIST_NAREB Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Big thanks to Commercial Banking Assistant 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘆 for representing us at GLOW Academy’s Cool Women, Hot Jobs event! Kerry shared her career path with 10th- and 11th-graders and taught them practical skills, such as writing a check.

𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶 and 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗰𝗸 visited "Kids Making It" to lead a financial literacy class and see their workshop in action. The organization teaches woodworking to help young people gain practical skills and support them as they work toward school and career goals.

That’s a wrap on the South Carolina CAI Expo & Party! Our own 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 presented the CE course, “Explain Financials in 8 Slides at Your Annual Meeting,” where he shared actionable tips with board members and community association professionals.
