Update Cambridge Street Scarborough incident Fire crews will be leaving the scene shortly and handing the incident over to other agencies. An investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing. The cordon and road closures remain in place at this time

Fire crews are currently supporting a multi‑agency response to reports of an explosion at a residential property on Cambridge Street in Scarborough. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area while emergency services continue to deal with the incident.

On-going incident in Northallerton We have a number of fire crews dealing with a fire to a commercial building on Tannery Lane in Northallerton. People nearby are advised to keep doors and windows closed.

Incident Warning Our crews are currently dealing with an incident at Downholme Moor near Catterick Garrison training facilities. It involves a fire on moorland. You are advised to please keep away from the area.

We've got a number of fire crews at the scene of a fire at a garage/body shop in East Heslerton. Due to the amount of smoke in the area, people nearby should keep their doors and windows closed.

Crews are currently in attendance at an incident on Standard Way Industrial Estate in Northallerton. Due to this there may be a lot of smoke in the area. If you're nearby we advise keeping doors and windows closed and avoid the area if possible.

Crews are currently attending a barn fire near High Ellington (Masham). There may be a significant amount of smoke in the area. If you're nearby we advise keeping doors and windows closed. Drivers in the area should take extra care as smoke may affect visibility on the roads.

The fire at Langdale/Fylingdales Moor has now been successfully contained for over three weeks. As of today, the major incident status has officially been de-escalated. It still remains an active incident and fire crews will continue to monitor the area
