We are currently dealing with a fire in the Colburn area, we advise people in the area around Brompton-on Swale/ Scorton areas to keep windows and doors closed

Crews are dealing with an incident on Tinker Lane in Rufforth. Due to this incident there may be smoke in the area. If you're nearby, we advise keeping doors and windows closed.

Crews are currently in attendance at an incident on Standard Way Industrial Estate in Northallerton. Due to this there may be a lot of smoke in the area. If you're nearby we advise keeping doors and windows closed and avoid the area if possible.

Crews are currently attending a barn fire near High Ellington (Masham). There may be a significant amount of smoke in the area. If you're nearby we advise keeping doors and windows closed. Drivers in the area should take extra care as smoke may affect visibility on the roads.

The North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum Recovery Group is leading and coordinating the long-term recovery efforts following the incident.

We again want to thank everyone who has supported us during this incident including farmers, contractors, game keepers, partner agencies, other fire and rescue services and local communities and businesses.

The fire at Langdale/Fylingdales Moor has now been successfully contained for over three weeks. As of today, the major incident status has officially been de-escalated. It still remains an active incident and fire crews will continue to monitor the area
