From today. Canada is clearly being quite irritating when it comes to trade with the U.S. Bulk fruits and vegetables can’t even come across the border because of packaging limitations. Ambassador Greer says he may have to retaliate against Canada in some form due to the Provinces not allowing US wine into the market. This 5 minutes is quite eye opening to how vindictive Canada looks when it comes to trade.

@Martyupnorth Just about all new vehicles are over priced junk. Older ones are easier to repair and will last longer. Way too much complicated unreliable tech. We won't buy a new one for a long time. Make vehicles great again.

Annual vehicle sales in Alberta have been flat for a decade, even though our population increased by almost 20%. I think vehicles have simply become way too expensive, so people are driving them longer. What do you think?

Stats Canada just released "Firearms and violent crime in Canada, 2024" Here's a few headlines from the report. * In 2024, the proportion of violent crimes involving a firearm was higher than 10 years earlier. Translation: Liberal policies have made things worse * The decline in the rate of firearm-related violent crime is largely driven by urban areas in western Canada. Translation: The prairies are tackling crime * Nearly half of firearm-related violent crimes involve a handgun. Translation: Banning rifles is not the solution * Almost 3 in 10 violent crimes attributable to gangs or organized crime involve a firearm Translation: No explanation necessary * Persons accused of violent crimes are more likely to have a recent history of violence. Translation: Releasing bad people on bail is not a good idea The data is all there, and the solutions to the problems can be found in the data, but the Liberals refuse to do so. Why? www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quoti…

Yesterday @ronmortgageguy reminded Canadians of a time when normal people with a proper job could save their money, get a mortgage, and buy home in which to raise a family. This normal middle class expectation disappeared during the 10.5 years the Liberals have governed Canada.

Melissa Lantsman: The Prime Minister doesn’t lack for words. The speeches are polished, the commitments are bold, the vision is always just around the corner. But corner after corner, nothing changes. Not the housing crisis. Not the cost of putting groceries on the table. Not the nation building projects. A promise repeated without follow-through is just noise. At this point, Canadians aren’t getting policy, It’s more subscription service for announcements, with no delivery date in sight.

@RosieRocks28 @RosieRocks28 This is spot on and brutal. Carney’s “strategy” is literally “blow up our biggest trading partner and play war of 1812 toys.” We’re cooked if this is the plan. Canadians are not buying the bluff anymore. What’s the dumbest part of his speech for you? 🇨🇦

The people saying Canada is not broken, don't run a business that faces... Broken windows Human feces in their door way Rampant theft by repeat offenders Crazed addicts on the sidewak Needles on the sidewalk Threats of violence Threats of extortion Scared customers Scared employees Employee turnover Higher purchasing costs Higher insurance rates Higher rents Higher property taxes All while paying huge taxes to the government for a justice system that refuses to protect them. Who wants to sit on a patio at a restaurant and watch people rig up after dropping a fresh load just feet away? Don't you dare ask the person to stop either, or chaos and even violence can ensue. No one wants some poop flung at them, while trying to eat their salad.

This video is basically an admission he lied about being the best person to get a deal with Trump. He never had any intention of getting a deal and ran a fear campaign like that used in North Korean propaganda to get power to roll out his net zero agenda and get rich. I best most Canadians who voted for him don't even know what BGTF1 is and how he's going to get sticking rich from it while Canada's economy implodes.
Ryan Gerritsen🇨🇦🇳🇱@ryangerritsen

Wow. Carney just dropped this almost 10 minute video basically setting up Canadians for no deal with the US. What people need to understand, this is Carney's plan, and not because of Trump. He is putting millions of jobs and countless businesses at risk to satisfy his agenda. People who rely on the US for trade & their livelihoods better wake up, its you who are going to pay the price, not this guy.

@ryangerritsen Wonder how the super banker Carney is planning to get the $60 billion trade surplus we had with the US from another nation? He probably has some good plans for that right?

CBC discussing Carney’s 10 minute fear mongering address to the nation. In a normal world the media would be saying why can’t this guy make things right between our largest trading partner & the bigger question, why does it seem like he’s purposely making our relationship worse?

I was called a traitor today for waving an Alberta flag and collecting signatures. Think about that. After a decade of this? Aga Khan ethics violation SNC-Lavalin political interference Justice minister pushed out Treasury Board president resigns WE Charity insider deal Finance minister ethics breach Cash-for-access fundraisers ArriveCAN $59M mess GC Strategies contracts with no oversight McKinsey sole-sourced consulting Green fund conflict scandals Foreign interference confirmed Delayed and weak response from Ottawa Winnipeg lab transparency concerns Money laundering allowed to flourish RCMP enforcement failures International student fraud crisis Immigration system being abused Billions spent, little progress on First Nations housing Unsafe drinking water still unresolved Repeated Auditor General warnings Multiple ministers violating ethics laws And somehow… we’re the traitors? At what point do people stop pretending this is just politics as usual? This is a pattern. Not one mistake. Not one scandal. A pattern of broken trust, weak accountability, and a government that keeps failing the people it’s supposed to serve. Calling that out isn’t betrayal. Refusing to accept it isn’t betrayal. Blindly defending it is. At some point, every Albertan has to make a decision: Do you go along with it… or do you stand up and say enough? This fall, we will have a chance to make that choice. Sign the petition before it’s too late and when the opportunity comes, vote YES for independence!

Government raises cost of living by 1000% then says "here's $50 you're welcome." Your post is a classic “list a bunch of headlines and hope no one asks questions” post. Here’s the reality: Most of what you listed isn’t free, it’s redistributed money. You’re paying for it through higher taxes, inflation, and long-term debt. “More tax benefits” and “more taxes back” only sound good if you ignore how much more is being taken in the first place. $10/day childcare? Great in theory—except many families still can’t access it, waitlists are massive, and providers are shutting down because the model isn’t sustainable. And in fact this system made our only two daycare centres in our town CLOSE. Dental plan? Limited, income-based, and not exactly the universal coverage people think it is. “10 cents less on gas today”? There's still a bunch of other taxes on gas. Meanwhile, overall cost of living (housing, groceries, utilities) has exploded. “No industrial carbon tax”? That’s misleading framing. The carbon tax burden didn't just disappear it got shifted, hidden, renamed and passed down to consumers in other ways. National food program and rebates? Again, patchwork solutions to problems that were made worse in the first place. If people need rebates to afford food, that’s not a win… that’s an admission something is broken. And the biggest omission? Wages haven’t kept up. Housing is unaffordable. Small businesses are squeezed. Productivity is down. People feel poorer—even if they’re getting a few $50 cheques in the mail. That’s the part these supporters always ignore. You don’t measure success by how many band-aids you hand out. You measure it by whether people actually get ahead. And right now? They're not and its gotten worse every single year for a decade.
