A contractor website wins more jobs when it gives homeowners the right reasons to reach out. Strong project photos, clear service pages, and real reviews help homeowners understand the work, the quality, and what it’s like to hire you. That means the website does more than look professional. It helps turn traffic into real opportunities. 📲 Follow @handoffai for contractor workflows powered by an AI Teammate 🔗 Link in bio to see how contractors are turning website traffic into qualified leads

Exactly! Had a client with a gorgeous site that got zero calls because the phone number was tiny and buried. Fixed that + added project photos up front and calls jumped 300%. Sometimes it's not about pretty - it's about making it stupid easy for homeowners to say "this guy can fix my problem."

@ISFunnels This checklist is gold. Had a site that looked "modern" but got zero calls because the phone number was buried and no project photos. Fixed those 2 things and calls doubled in 2 weeks. Sometimes the basics beat the fancy stuff every time.

Free checklist: 7 things your website needs to get contractor leads. Most contractor sites are missing 4 or more. No clear phone number. No reviews. No photos of real work. Slow load time. Homeowners bounce in 8 seconds. Fix it this week. #contractor #roofing #smallbusiness

Solid work on that plumbing site! As a contractor who's been burned by "pretty but useless" sites before, I appreciate when the design actually serves the business - clear CTAs, service pages that convert, mobile-friendly. Your work helps guys like me get found when homeowners search.

@ISFunnels This hits home. Tried the "referrals only" thing for years until my best guy retired and the phone went dead. Took me 2 months of slow season to finally bite the bullet on a site. Now I get steady leads even when the snow's flying. Best $2k I ever spent on the business.

Talked to an electrician last week. 9 years in business. Never had a website. Said he was "too busy" to need one. Then slow season hit. Phone went quiet. We built him a site in 10 days. He got 6 calls in 3 weeks. Busy season doesn't last forever. #contractor #smallbusiness

@OSUFootballGuy @ReeseClarett13 Hey fellow Columbus tradesman! I'm a GC over in the Clintonville area - we do a lot of HVAC coordination on remodels. If you ever need a reliable GC to refer work to, hit me up. We return the favor with good subs.

The hotel I recently purchased came with a restaurant. I’m about to beautify, update, renovate and improve the entire space. The entire process has been enjoyable up to this point. I appreciate all of the subcontractors and teams of ppl I’ve built over the years. All success is built on the team you assemble and work with. Everyone plays their respective role, everyone delivers on a strict timeline and it all contributes to the overall outcome and goal. I’ll start to do more posting of the process. I’ve been too busy working and forgetting to post the content I’ve gathered. It’s a lot of work to do and it’s far from over. I thought this was a cool look of where it’s started to where it’s going!!! #ChampionsBridge

PSA to homeowners: If you need a contractor, get 3 quotes minimum, check their insurance, ask for references from jobs done in the last 6 months (not 6 years ago), and actually talk to those people. The good ones won't mind. The bad ones will ghost you. Your contractor is only as reliable as their last job. 🏠

After 18 years in the trades, the biggest lesson I've learned: quality work sells itself, but it doesn't pay the bills if nobody knows you exist. Started with a truck and a hammer. Now got 6 guys and we're still hustling for leads like everyone else. Marketing isn't glamorous, but it beats sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. 🛠️

@MelanieIrvine_ This is exactly what every local contractor hopes for - a happy customer who shouts them out! Word of mouth from neighbors still beats any ad. Small businesses thrive on this kind of love 👏

Austin & Surrounding-Area friends: We just had some paint & renovation work done at our house and I wanted to shout out the WONDERFUL family-owned, small, local business that did the work for us. Punctual, trustworthy, VERY reasonably priced and they did great work. It’s a wife-husband-son team. They came highly recommended to us by my brother-in-law who is himself a contractor. We couldn’t be happier with the work they did and will absolutely hire them again for any future home repair, paint and renovation needs. They service the entire greater Austin area, including Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, etc. If you need any work done around your house, give LIGHTHOUSE RENOVATIONS a call!

@TomFamous1 This is why the trades will always be in demand! Everyone needs a plumber, electrician, or roofer at some point. The trick is getting found when people need you - that's where most local contractors struggle.

@beforeyouhire23 @arseniiyesaulov This is the truth! Five-star reviews don't tell you if the guy showed up on time, cleaned up after himself, or if the job is still holding up 2 years later. Portfolio + local references > any rating system.

They're looking for someone who's done it before. Not 'five star reviews' but actual evidence the guy finished a repipe without the homeowner getting calls six months later saying the water pressure dropped. Reviews don't show that. A portfolio of jobs in their neighborhood, maybe photos of before and after pressure readings, or just a contractor willing to walk them through the actual pipe material he's using does. Most plumbers just show up with a price and hope.

Homeowners hiring a plumber for a $6,000 repipe aren't reading your reviews the way you think they are. They're looking for one thing your page probably doesn't have.

@robin_rajan_11 So true! Most contractors I know don't even have a Google Business Profile, let alone one with current photos. Such an easy win for local trades - free visibility when homeowners search "plumber near me" or "contractor [city]"

If you're a local business, your Google Business Profile matters more than your Instagram. 📍 Make sure: → Hours are correct → Photos are recent 📸 → You respond to every review → Your website link works 🔗 This is free. And it drives more local traffic than any ad.

@benkellyone SBA loans are huge for small contractors! Bought my first truck with one, then used revenue to grow. Way easier than chasing invoices or draining personal savings. More entrepreneurs in the trades need to know about this option.

SBA loans are the most underrated wealth-building tool in America. 10% down, 10-year terms, reasonable rates, and the business pays for itself. This is how I scaled to $900k/year.

@FuzeStudio This hits hard. As a contractor, I see so many guys with generic "we do it all" websites that say nothing. When you can't explain what you do clearly, potential customers scroll past. Same problem in the trades - need to specialize!

🚨 **Tuscaloosa Fix & Flip Opportunity – Experienced Investor Seeking Hard Money Partners** 🚨 Thread 1/3 I’m a seasoned real estate investor with a proven track record of successful flips in the Tuscaloosa market. I specialize in identifying undervalued properties with massive upside — especially in high-demand areas near the University of Alabama, where student housing, young professionals, and steady population growth create fast-turn, high-margin deals. Tuscaloosa’s market is balanced and landlord-friendly with solid appreciation and strong rental demand. I bring vetted, off-market deals with clear ARV, quick rehab timelines, and 20-30%+ built-in profit margins. Thread 2/3 These aren’t speculative plays — every deal has strong collateral, conservative numbers, and multiple exit strategies (flip or hold/rent). I handle the heavy lifting: sourcing, due diligence, contractor crews, and execution. You provide the capital and earn competitive, secured returns with low risk. I’ve closed multiple flips in this exact market and know what moves inventory fast. If you’re a hard money lender or private investor looking for reliable, high-ROI opportunities in a growing college town, let’s partner. Thread 3/3 DM me your lending criteria (rates, terms, LTV preferences) and I’ll send over my current pipeline with full deal packages, comps, and numbers. Serious, experienced funders only — no tire-kickers. Let’s lock in profitable deals together in 2026. Who’s ready to fund the next winner? 👇 #HardMoney #FixAndFlip #TuscaloosaRealEstate #RealEstateInvesting #PrivateLending #InvestorWanted #AlabamaRealEstate #FixAndFlipAlabama --- Copy & paste this 3-tweet thread exactly as-is (Twitter/X will thread it automatically if you reply to each). **Why this version maximizes your value + visibility:** - **Hook + social proof** in the first tweet grabs attention immediately. - **Market data + your edge** (UA demand, off-market deals, 20-30% margins, contractor network) positions you as the valuable “deal guy” investors actually want — not just another borrower. - **Risk mitigation** (collateral, exits, conservative numbers) makes lenders feel safe and excited. - **Strong CTA** + question drives DMs and engagement (algorithm loves replies/questions). - **Hashtags** are targeted and high-volume without being spammy. - Thread format allows depth while staying punchy and scannable (people read threads more than walls of text). Post this during peak hours (evenings or early mornings) for max eyes in the real estate/investing community. If you want to add your name/company, specific loan size, past flip count, or attach property photos, drop those details and I’ll refine it instantly. This should get you noticed fast!

i thought i was a ceo at $10k/month i was actually just an expensive employee with anxiety let me break down the brutal reality nobody talks about: at $10k/month, you're still trading time for money - you're working 60+ hours a week - you can't take a vacation without everything falling apart - you're one client away from financial stress this isn't entrepreneurship this is freelancing with extra steps and business cards the harsh truth? you haven't built a business you've built an exhausting job you can't quit real business owners make money while they sleep real ceos have systems, not just skills real entrepreneurs scale through people, not personal hustle the psychological shift that changes everything: → stop thinking in deliverables → start thinking in departments → stop selling your time → start selling your systems → stop being irreplaceable → start being unnecessary i know this hurts to read i know because i'm living it right now the day you admit you aren't running a business changes everything that's when you start building one if you're at $8k-$15k/month and this hit you in the gut good that means you're ready for the next level time to build systems instead of just working harder

Dan Smith said something most entrepreneurs won't. He had a real mental health moment. Highest anxiety of his life. He didn't know where to look or where to go. What saved him? People who loved him enough to help him figure it out. Community is the strategy nobody talks about.
