Teaching kids AI today. I was an idiot! The most IMPORTANT day of my career: Story time, some context first. People don’t give a sh*t about AI. At least this is what I am used to believe since I started my AI work in 2019. Before it was cool. So today I was nervous. My teacher friend invited me as a guest speaker to his school. 3 different classrooms. Ages 14-17. Out of my comfort zone. I usually do AI productivity and automation workshops for B2B. Adults, CEOs, managers, I did it even for Fortune 500. But not kids. Pressure. Because I truly believe in education and empowering people with AI, I wish I had this tech when I was young and broke. And yesterday night I couldn’t stomach to imagine they would look at me bored while I fumble. So today I kinda broke the school rules (not the first time in my life). I didn’t do The lesson in English as planned. because it would lower comprehension. Did it in Italian. And it was not "Introduction to LLMs" and the garbage you see online. We talked about getting closer to their dreams, escaping the little village, putting AI to work, making a difference. And you know the best part? They actually listened, I could see them waking up, paying attention, asking questions, seeing the vision. Many teachers complain that kids are bad students nowadays. Yeah, the truth is because they are garbage teachers who fail to teach kids useful things. Or don’t know how to deliver engaging lessons. Kids were amazing. All of them. I was a dummy for believing those decrepit old teachers who treat young people like punks. Kids are smart, but the school is failing them. It’s clear. Not gonna lie, lately I was burned out and unhappy. I doubled my revenue and clients but the B2B consulting is challenging but not “mission first”. THIS was mission first. I got closer to Alex Northstar. My little sister could have been in the audience and her life would have been better after my 1h class. I was useful. I was less stupid. I was the man I wanted to be to my 14 year old angry self. Took me 10 years. Gods plan. So f*cking Grateful.

Italian restaurant last night in Palermo wanted some pizza and a good evening scanned the menu and the first thing I see is a giant ass ChatGPT logo "ask ChatGPT about the menu." brother, I don't want to talk to a chatbot about my margherita I want to see it, read three lines of ingredients and pick one. that's it. this is the slop AI epidemic. the technology works, but the hype bros are grabbing it and stuffing it into places where nobody asked for it. if their IQ is above 80: a clean menu with pizza pictures FIRST. Manage reservations with AI instead. I've trained over 10,000 people on AI implementation in last 3 years and I still say this: just because you can "AI it" doesn't mean you should.
