Norwich Printing Museum

One of the hand-moulds at the #norwichprintingmuseum. This is a French-style mould, made of steel with a brass "hopper mouth", probably around 1800 for hand-casting type in the brevier size (roughly 8-point).

A wood-engraving of around 1873, showing a family printing with the Jabez Francis "parlour press". Only three original examples of this press are known to survive (two of them are at the Norwich Printing Museum).
